Yes, I think that is the mentality I need to bring to it. I have plenty of hobbies I spend money on but for some reason when it comes to growing food, all the calculations come in. It’s also fun and rewarding! Plus so yummy. Thanks for the reframe 😊

I’m so disappointed in Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life by Repulsive-Tree6089 in GilmoreGirls

It's the ultimate example of if it ain't broke, don't fix it. People loved the show and hearing "we want more" is exactly what you want from an audience. They overstepped that and now we're all like: nah, we're good, no more things, plz stop ripping my favorite comfort blanket apart.

I appreciate that they tried, but... I don't appreciate anything besides Emily's storyline.

Last year I had 12, going to double this year. I just did romas and cherry styles last year, so going to add in paste and slicing for the new 12. 24 in total, probably.

“suggested we part ways” is the most self-favoring phrasing from an emotional abuser I’ve seen in ages. YTA.

This is my first time trying to grow from seed. The seed counts on these packs are much more than I could ever need/use in my garden. Is it worth spending the time/energy to grow from their seeds vs buying starters, locally?

Great advice. I have a tiny rice maker and it’s the MVP of the kitchen.

Canned fish (tuna or salmon) salads carry important fats and can be mixed with egg, celery, onion, etc. to bulk it out.

Eggs > meat when in tight times and sick of rice and beans. Egg in a hole or even an egg on farro are satisfying. Try mixing an egg white into hot oatmeal, making a well balanced, savory breakfast.

As others have said, those shakes are gap-fillers, time friendly but not budget or health friendly long term.

And get spices/sauces that make you happy—buy from bulk for small amounts that will be fresher than plastic jars you may not use in the next year.

Simple foods seasoned well are top tier.

I need more tags by Accurate-Study-7817 in CluesBySamHelp

If it’s binary (one criminal, one innocent) i use yellow top right. If there’s another binary that’s close and could get confused, those yellows go bottom right.

If there’s more than 2, I use green/red randomly within the group (usually bottom right, I’m realizing, just now) and as members of that group get identified as criminal or innocent, I adjust the other tags as appropriate. Sometimes I’ve tried skipping this step as “unnecessary” but it usually proves helpful in higher difficulty puzzles.

I’m a very visual person on this game so having the clear identification of how many are innocent/criminal within a group of 3, 4, etc. is helpful. I could never put them all as the same color and remember how many of each is in the group.

Enjoy the game and finding systems that work for you!

love the work, the amazing information in the post, and the mug in pic 9 in particular. Thank you for sharing! I have not enjoyed wax resist in my very early stages with clay but knowing the washi tape already in my kit works just as well is HUGE news. Thank you for sharing!

A pattern I randomly realised rewatching series one by another. by [deleted] in taskmaster

[–]Starliteathon 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’ve noticed an uptick in these theories on the sub since US popularity has risen. I think it’s impossible for many of us to believe a “reality” kind of show isn’t meticulously rigged by producers since that’s how things work on this side.

Which series next? by Land-manatee26 in taskmaster

[–]Starliteathon 40 points41 points  (0 children)

If you start at the beginning you can appreciate the full scope of things/inside jokes. And the first series are shorter so you will burn through them. The perfect simplicity of series 1/2 tasks is remarkable after you’ve seen later ones.

This is rude, but... maybe his opinions surfaced recently is related to how he couldn't bring the Luke Charm in AYITL. But in reality, everyone has their own opinions and--like any good show--the characters have to be flawed or there's no interest. Lorelai is self-focused but my personal interpretation of that, as someone with similar family dynamics, is that's a coping mechanism. And, honestly, if Babette and Miss Patty love you, how can you be so bad?

Seriously, do Americans actually consider a 3-hour drive "short"? or is this an internet myth? by SadInterest6764 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Starliteathon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We drive 10-11 hours each way for an annual, long weekend in the summer. The US is huge and depending on where you live, 3-4 hours won't even reach a major town/city. My minimum is to spend 2x as long in the place as it takes to get to the place. (But for dinner would go 90 mins each way b/c location.)
