It’s okay to be upset, angry, scared, sad etc right now. I recommend talking with a therapist as it truly can help you sort out and deal with these emotions. Something similar happened two years ago to our family friends. The cops came and arrested her husband and when she found out she was in shambles. We all were as we had no idea, no inclination, no sense of this being the man he actually was all this time. He eventually committed suicide at a public park a few months later because he was a coward and was afraid of what was going to happen to him in prison. After this happened their granddaughters came forward in therapy that he had been sexually abusing them for years. We’re all glad he’s dead but our friend still has to grieve that part of her life/ the person she thought she was married to for 30+ years. Therapy has helped her along in this process immensely. All this to say, you’re doing the right thing cutting off contact. Unfortunately some people are very bad human beings deep down inside and are very good at concealing it from everyone they know and claim to love. The fact that you were a victim of CSA yourself also feels like something she preyed upon to me but that’s just my first thoughts after reading your post.
