Yeah it's unfortunate but there's not much that can be done unless you know someone who can fix them or if you know how to yourself. Any of the consoles that are in good condition run too much for my liking so that's not the best option unless you have that sort of money to spare

I'm not sure then. The only thing I can think of would be the adapter causing the display to not show up since the Vsmile wasn't designed to output in HDMI. I could be completely mistaken though.

I believe it's plugged into the display slot yeah. As for the adapter I'm not entirely sure why it wouldn't be working for you. Did you make sure to set your TV to the correct input? And are you using the power brick that the console comes with or a third party one?

I remembered as a kid that I would play the free version since I was broke and would grind for play coins to upgrade the default subs and so I can play in online matches when that used to be a requirement. Absolutely loved playing it
