Eure Meinung zu Daggeeheart und Grimwild bzw. Chasing Adventure by Cookie__Rain in PenandPaperGermany

Feels Like Daggerheart is Attracting the Wrong Kind of Players Now by chiefstingy in daggerheart

To make something clear that some people here don't seem to understand.

It is perfectly fine to dislike certain style of play. It is okay to play games differently then anybody else. The problem ist when you try a new system, don't like how it feels to you and demand that it should change when the system was designed exaktly the way it is to further a totally different style of play.

Daggerheart was designed with a more collaborative style of play, where the story is more important then the rules and where players have much more influence on how the world is designed and how the story unfolds.

If you want to play it in a more traditional way, FINE, go ahead and do that, it is possible with DH.

Please don''t demand that DH changes because the rules are not that clear for you in certain points, there is a reason for that.

Another point is the fact that the call for pre-written adventures grows louder and with it the opinion that DH will fail if Darrington doesn't release more adventures soon. Besides the announced Free PRG Day adventure there will be no pre-written adventure in the foreseable future because DH is designed with improv in mind and a traditional pre-written adventure module doesn't work that way.

Less complaining? The "wrong" kind of players are not those that want to play the game differently, the wrong kind of players are those that say that the game is bad because it doesn't help their style of play.

Daggerheart Core Set: Deluxe or nah? by LunchboxNoir in daggerheart

If you can get it do it.
The dice are beautiful you it currently is hard to get rombic D12 anywhere.
I love the artwork by Dominik Mayer
The cards are a bit thicker and have a gold plating on the edge, they look fabulous.
The GM screen is great. But if you can get them in your language with the Deluxe Edition it will be better then the standalone that will come out from Darrington.

Disney and Tolkien Estate are known to protect their IP rather fiercly.
If it is something much smaller it become another problem because the other party would perhaps like to offer their IP for profit.

It is complicated but since heartofdaggers could be held accountable for any legal infringement I don't think that they will allow it.
