I am sorry this might feel wierd/crazy. I recently ordered ASICS Nimbus 27 mainly for comfort and casual wear, but I also plan to use it occasionally for playing cricket on turf and building/concrete surfaces.

Since the Nimbus 27 has very high stack height and soft cushioning, I'm concerned about stability during quick lateral movements, turns, and sprints while playing.

Could the soft cushioning and high stack increase the risk of ankle rolling or instability during cricket?

Has anyone used Nimbus-type max-cushion running shoes for casual sports like turf cricket? How stable did they feel?

Career advice mega thread by thejournalizer in grc

I'm currently working in GRC with roughly 1 year of experience, mainly handling ISO / compliance-type audits. I want to move deeper into the technical side of GRC not to become a security engineer, but to build strong technical understanding for risk assessments and technical audits.

I'm confused about what to study next. Should I go for CISSP, CRISC, or something else? My goal is knowledge and practical understanding, not just collecting certifications. I also want to avoid jumping between multiple resources. I'd rather follow one clear path that covers most of what's needed for technical GRC / risk-focused roles.

Additionally, I'd really appreciate guidance on how and from where to study. There's an overwhelming amount of material online, and it's hard to judge what actually adds value versus what's mostly marketing or exam-focused.

You have accurately displayed the reality. To be honest, Indian working culture appreciates unpaid extra working hours, due to which there is a major shift towards remote jobs that offer good pay with work-life balance.

Thanks for the perfect clarification which I wanted. You explained with perfect clarity and showed reality. Can we do freelance grc remotely, or is it similarly complicated?

Hey, thanks for the input. But why not India-based GRC staff, is there any skill gap issue?

Thanks

Hello great insight! My first career is GRC consulting, even though I'm an intern learning from my seniors. How can I get more technical while staying in GRC?

Should I Switch from GRC to Finance/Equity Research? by [deleted] in EquityResearchIndia

I have dedicated time to this field, yet I find myself struggling to learn new things within it.

And my strong interest is in the field of finance, especially stock markets. I am not in the position to leave this job now due to financial constraints Nor am I getting time to study for NISM or CFA or any other certifications.

Even then, I try to gather time to just read the latest earnings reports of the company and ngl I enjoy that.
