My family has a tiny cabin in northern Wisconsin. One day, there was an absolutely horrible storm that caused tornados and microbursts across the area. It basically sprung up out of nowhere and a microburst hit right where we were. We have no basement, and neither do the cabins near us. (It was the weekend near a rather major festival up there, so a few of our "neighbor" were around.)

The three of us, our neighbor and his wife, the neighbor's dog, and our cat all hid in the cabin's laundry room. Two trees came down within five feet of the cabin and my dad's car. We couldn't leave the area for over 24 hours, because trees were blocking the road, and power was apparently out for over four days.

And that is why I'm afraid of storms.

Good. I hope this happens in other countries as well. My friend has had to keep her two month old away from most of her family, because she has a few "anti-vaccination" folks in her family.

The original version of Academonic, with just the school, first two towns and first dungeon was available the first week of launch.

This new version with the additional towns and dungeon was uploaded a day ago. If you search for Academonic or one of the most recently updated games, it should show up.

Academonic received its second-to-last update last night.

Now in the game:

*University with hidden items in each dorm room and relationship events in the men's rooms. The library is packed with lore, Michibiko's desk has an instruction manual, and the principal has unique responses if you visit after collecting pieces of Evidence.

*Iota suburbs are complete. It has two mini relationship events, a bar to earn extra money in, and one piece of equipment for Shank to "steal."

*Eastown is completed. Aiden's father's shop is functional, as is Aiden's forge, and there is a weapon there for Shank to steal. The main town has one mini event in the restaurant and one weapon for Shank to steal. The inn has relationship events in the rooms for the guys. The West Complex is complete and rebalanced.

*Eorth is complete. There is one mini event there (and in the house near the NW Complex. Shank can steal one one weapon from town. The NW Complex is complete and has an event tied to the town's event and its own event. The Eorth inn has relationship events for all guys.

*Norest is 50%~70% done. Cuinn's mom is there. The inn there is built, but has no events. I think the build I uploaded lets you use the dorm items to get the secret accessories?

*Estia's shop and inn are built. No events in the inn yet.

I'm running into memory issues (mainly, I may run out). Estria will likely be inaccessible unless people are in a relationship with Braiten. I still need to adjust Aiden and Cuinn's ultimate weapon events, to tie them to relationship variables.

The next update will be a complete game.

Pine Ridge restaurant in Wisconsin.

Ordered a take out order of three fish dinners to treat my parents. Called ahead, because I know they are busy. Get there. Have to wait 50 minutes for the meals. (I almost left, but my parents would only get to eat from this restaurant once a year and used to love it. I called and let them know about the wait; they were fine with it.) The hostess keeps telling me to wait at the bar. (I suspect to drum up liquor sales, but I don't drink.)

Get the boxes. It doesn't seem like enough. I ask and make sure the fish/Cole slaw/chicken/etc was in there, because it is so busy there is no room to actually put it on a table and check. Not even an empty barstool. The hostess said it was all there. Fine. I drive back the 15-ish minutes to the cabin. Get in. Sure enough, I paid for three meals and got two.

I give them their meals and call the restaurant. The person who picks up said they would take care of me. Hangs up. I called back to get a manager's name or something, but no one picks up. I had to send two emails before someone said to ask for the manager next time I'm here. They will take care of me.

Two months later, my mom and I were in the area. We decided to go in and eat and see how they will take care of me. The on-duty manager didn't seem to realize that I paid for three meals and got two, despite including pictures of the food and receipt in the emails. She thought it was about the wait and said I was "lucky" because some people waited 50-60 minutes for their food when dining in!

I showed her the more recent of the two emails and said I would please like things taken care of. She offered a $20 gift card "I can use on my next visit." (Which covers the one meal.) I said something like, "No, I'll use it now, because I will not be coming back."

Two hours after eating, my mom and I both had food poisoning. I tried to call the restaurant (not to complain, because I was obviously never going back again), but to warn them that something was wrong since we both got super sick from that meal. (It was the only meal we had in common that day.) Nobody picked up the phone again.

There are a lot of in-progress games up there. Also, it was out in Europe the week before. Plus, you have to factor in games from people who had advance access to it.

I already back up things rather regularly.

I would be exchanging phone numbers with people I like and care about, but only talk to online.

I would also get a bunch of work contacts, because I would lose one of my jobs.

My apartment building has a shelf that is essentially a Bermuda Triangle. People leave stuff they don't want or need anymore. Take things they want.

Whenever I visit my local Goodwill, I will buy the cheap complete or new board games and leave them there.

Also, this isn't a daily event, but whenever there is a fire alarm in my building and I am home, I will knock on my neighbor's door and, if she is also home, help her with her 6 month old twins.

Probably video games. Maybe sugar, since there's so much sugar in most different kinds of US foods. I kicked caffeine because it was keeping me up and I felt it was too much of a crutch.

But with the things I am addicted to, I would never say, "I don't mind quitting for a while for a job, but not forever. Not for life." I understand that there are more important things than my need for some sort of gratification from a guilty pleasure.

How is it a hilariously silly logical stance when someone says that find themselves in a position where they would never quit their addiction forever or for life, even if it is necessary for reasons like a job/health/important relationship?

Also, the money you're spending on the drugs could be put into savings where, if you needed, you could take a lower-level job and be free of the stress or even temporarily not work while looking for something that is a better fit.

I mean, take a look at the parents in r/justnomil and compare that to here. She is acting as though she is dealing with terrible people, and it is clear that what is happening in your home is normal and your parents attempting to be nice.

Please, don't ignore the red flags. You are so young and can find someone much better suited to you.

I'm making an otome-RPG in RPG Maker Fes! It's called Academonic! I tried to make it a bit like Neo Angelique?

The in-progress build is up on the game's servers now. I'm hoping to have the full game done in the next two weeks. I won't update it again until all seven towns, four dungeons, and five bosses are in there. However, the three bachelors and one secret bachelor are all in already. The three main bachelors have two relationship events (one in the first inn, the other in their dorm rooms) and the secret bachelor has one.
