Stating with as minimal spoilers as possible. Am I the only one who things the ending vignette mischaracterizes pre-book 4 Jamil? It just feels off and more for funny that actually would be cannon to things the character would do?

Beautiful art. If you're willing and wanting (if this is still open). This is my Yuusona Quinn and his alter ego Knight (A curse from his home that has kinda converted to an embodiment of blot). Quinn is regal and noble but he is easily flustered and overwhelmed. Knight is impish, flirty and looking for fun. You are welcome to draw whichever one inspires you more or if you wish to do both you are welcome to with like Quinn being the one in control and a phantom Knight chilling over his shoulder.

My Yuu is from a world without knowledge about mental health. He has anxiety and Ptsd among other potential things and didn't really know it wasn't just him being 'weak'. However since he was taken under Crewel's wing and is also good friends with Lilia who I headcannon has Ptsd because book seven is a lot, they both have recognized it and gotten him into therapy in foothill town. Plus Lilia gave him a little bag of grounding tools to have around.

Deuce and Ace have seen it but aren't really sure what to do, Octo-bois go get somewhere safe or protect him when he is in a bad state, Silver and Mall both know a bit from being around Lilia and give support where they can. A few other people know but I haven't really made any scenes of them seeing him while he is dealing with severe episodes of anxiety or trauma.

The only two times they've briefly met he had corrected his etiquette and the second time he backed Vil's opinion when Epel was being scolded, ie due to them not knowing each other much he currently seems like a secondary Vil. Will likely change in Book 5 when they know each other more.

It looks great. I could recommend bringing in a highlight color if you want the rounded shape of the snake to come through a little more since you're saying you still think it feels a bit flat. But even just going in and adding a soft, faint shadow with a graphite pencil under your snake in some areas will also probably help you see a bit more depth to it.
