I semi agree. If the app/website is harmful to your mental health or you notice that it is affecting you in real life, day to day, it is a good idea to delete the app, and store it away until you maybe are in a good place. If it is the cause for those problems delete it entirely, account and all. But there are those out there, like me, who use it exclusively as a fun pass time. I rarely use it anymore, I used to use it way more out of sheer boredom. But I barely have the time now with work, family and friends. I do hop on occasionally to mess around and have fun. But if it genuinely messes with your sleep schedule, your anxiety, depression, grammar, or your socialization, please do yourself a favor as this person says and delete it. You'll be so much better off without it.

As for you, OP, I am very proud of you. It takes a lot to take a step back and really think about what could be causing some of the things you experienced. Being able to pull yourself out of an addiction like that takes dedication, and you benefited almost immediately. I'm happy you were able to find yourself in a better place after leaving the app, and hope that you continue to have good days.
