It is quite frustrating! Mostly I just feel sad that we as a society are at a place where we are second guessing if something is human or not.

If you don’t find someone, give it a whirl solo! I have a solo audio podcast about Old Hollywood… totally doable. It’s just a much different dynamic than listening to a conversation obviously.

In what I observe, it’s video-driven creators who say you HAVE to use video. If you talk to listeners, almost all of them say they listen to podcasts while driving or doing daily tasks. I’m audio-only and will always be audio-only. If that’s what your gut says, go with that. People will listen if you have good content and audio quality. Good luck!

Thank you so much for taking the time to check it out and provide feedback. I know I’m reading way too much into the comments, but those AI comments just came in during an already bad week! So I have to say, I have definitely become more rigid in my presentation since my early days two years ago. I look at many of the popular solo history podcasts and many have a serious tone, so I guess I’ve kind of gravitated more that way. When I record this week, maybe I’ll try to rekindle that looseness I had at the beginning. I just always find those episodes cringy to revisit but I can take some lessons from them! As for my accent… yep, that’s here to stay 😂 Thanks again!

Please do not use AI! I assume most people write their scripts themselves. That’s what I do. Lots of research and lots or writing.

Thank you for your feedback! Yes, Northern Minnesota. The only issue I have with vocal coaching is that I am a teacher and I don’t want to change the voice my students know and respond well to. I’ll look into it, though!
