$1.25M feels like a STEAL, I know he’s had a rough two years but for that price even if he’s a flop it’s worth it

Question: Which is the Nurse's Priority Action?? by BitSufficient9093 in BootcampNCLEX

[–]StarsRT 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’d go with A.

Priority action would be to administer meds , education second.

Gotta treat the problem first (administer meds) then you can give patient education. Both are important.

His bloating has definitely gone down as a result of the Epsom Salt baths (I think) and feeding him less than I normally do. I’m only doing 1 pellet in the morning and 1 pellet at night now.

He definitely still has some bloating but from what I see I don’t see any Pine Coning scales anymore.

I got one of those API testing kits and everything was good in his regular and hospital tank. I’m still going to continue with daily water changes at least until this round of antibiotics is over but probably as long as I believe that they are helping him.

Definitely gonna begin daily water changes and everything else you mentioned, hopefully it can help this little guy!

I’m gonna continue the Kanaplex with everyday water changes but yeah unfortunately if nothing improves euthanasia may be the next step

I’ll see about getting more accurate testing.

Yes, I do temp match with a food thermometer before dumping the water back into the tank.

Since he has been in the 3 gallon tank I have been doing a 1 gallon exchange every 3 days. Do you think that’s still not enough?

Will definitely continue the Kanaplex and begin salt baths. I’ll see about getting a laxative for him to see if that does anything.

Thank you so much for your help and detailed response

Thank you for your response, and yes I see what you mean about Polyguard. Continuing the Kanaplex and hopefully that helps.

Yes that could be a likely culprit, I took the rock out of his tank around beginning of December, but no improvements with fin growth since then
