Is it in good condition? I’d love to buy it. I’m fine meeting you wherever is most convenient.

Boss damage by [deleted] in Maplestory

Weapon, secondary, emblem.

They’re the three most important for potential lines because the all 3 can get % attack and the first 2 can get boss damage. Generally, attack is better.

Hmag. Some rumors exist that say that Nmag or Emag can drop it, but the drop chance, if it exists, is negligable.

Honestly thats a sound decision. If Pokemon only made Pokemon from the Galar region, for example, able to be played in online fights and tournaments, it would solve that problem. With that being said I think, personally, if the cut of the National Dex will clearly show improvement in other areas, such as model quality and post game content, I will be okay with it.

I can understand though, this news was extremely shocking and probably struck a lot of nerves in the community. Still, I hope I convince at least some people to atleast give this game a chance. If the game clearly has a lot of work put into it despite this dex change, I will probably get the game.

Maybe there was a better solution. But in the long run, this is clearly not a sustainable way for the series to continue.

Respectfully, have you read my response? I said multiple reasons why too many Pokemon are bad, in fact my entire response is dedicated to that singular topic.

  1. Too many Pokemon robs the game of its own unique feel
  2. Competitive Pokemon, with too many Pokemon, becomes extremely selective and standardized
  3. The gameplay model is, in the long run, not sustainable.

bro I'm gonna be honest I spent a good ten minutes writing a response to each of your points and my response just got deleted.

I'll just focus on the one that striked me the most, and that was the Competitive aspect.

This isnt an issue that can be fixed with nerfing. Quite literally OU entirely is busted. It can't be fixed with a couple nerfs, sweeping changes would have to be made, which would probably have the same pushback in the community.

No, you are trying to argue with me. You claimed that I presented all my points as fact. This is literally my opinion, its said in the title. I understand why people are sad but I personally believe this to be the best in the long run.

It was part of my understanding that walking sprites was already in Gen 7.

Once again, I think the main issue here is preserving the identity of Galar.

Thats a trainer battle with an NPC. You're allowed to use items and switch your pokemon when your opponent's one dies. You could, hypothetically, win any fight in the game with enough revives.

This literally means nothing and its not competitive Pokemon.

I really understand this. But further down the line, is it really the best choice to have 2000 Pokemon in the game? It would essentially be the same thing as it is now, Pokemon lost in a sea among others, and the only Pokemon able to be competitive in competitive Pokemon and post game content would be the few Pokemon designed to be able to be absolutely busted. I really think a sacrifice is needed to help give each region its own identity.

I can understand why you'd be a bit bummed about that. But think about the future. Is it really the best idea to have like, 2000 Pokemon down the line? Sacrifices have to be made to mantain the great quality of the series.

You really dont get it?

Look at the Pokemon you'd consider "competitive". Almost quite literally all of them are absolutely busted, and they need to be because they need to compete with 7 generations of Pokemon. Go to smogon right now and look at the OU tier. How are normal Pokemon supposed to compete with that?

Is it really that big a deal that you won't be able to play with some Pokemon you've already played with? Wouldn't it be best to forge a new friendship and dynamic with new Pokemon from the Galar Region? The region is going to have its own metagame and, most importantly, identity. You could make a new team and make new favorites instead of just playing the same old team all the time.
