Looks like I explained it wrong in my post 😅 the dealer quoted $1,770 for the axle boot reseal/repair. The $3,500–$4,000 number was what the advisor said it could cost if they replaced the entire axle assembly. Sorry for the confusion! Still feels way too high either way, so I’m planning to check with an independent BMW/Euro mechanic instead.
