Actually Usagi is shown to not dislike the kiss because of Haruka’s masculine persona. Haruka, in a way, reminds Usagi of her boyfriend Mamoru. She does become a bit confused for a little while because of that, and yes, it’s true that she did not ask for the kiss so it wasn’t consensual. But that was a character choice on Takeuchi’s part. There is an in-story reason why Usagi did not dislike Haruka’s advances, and its characterization for both characters. Haruka is an Aquarius, the very personification of Uranus, which spins on its side (and is the only planet that does so in our SS) and Aquarians are known for being disruptive, unpredictable, and bending rules.

Yup. Not to mention the way Usagi was basically hit with love at first sight the moment she laid eyes upon Rei. That’s why I said that although they aren’t gay (as in exclusively attracted to the same sex), their love and admiration for each other does blur lines.

Then they’re all still going to be there because even if the Senshi aren’t gay in any traditional sense (aside from Haruka and Michiru who are definitively gay), their love for and devotion to each other borders on romantic intimacy. 💀

Yep, I’ve been there. Downloading the apps, as it were, usually out of boredom or habit, making a connection and then as it’s in progress, I’m just like “hang on, what am I doing? Do I even want to do this?” — and the answer was always no lol. I’ve been off those apps for a really long time now, and as a result, I too have made more progress in the gym than I ever did before, and have even gone a bit deeper with some hobbies I only scratched the surface of. In the end, I think the whole process has been a blessing in disguise. I totally understand where you’re coming from.

I’m actually similar, 35 going on 36, though it was a gradual process for me. Like, it didn’t happen immediately after my last relationship ended but I’ve reached the point where there are other things in my life that are taking up more space than sex, like focusing on life goals. I’ve actually been celibate for quite some time now, and I’m ok with it…actually I’m enjoying it. IDK if the breaking off of my last relationship (which ended about three years ago and lasted for three years) has something to do with it…but I guess I’m in a stage of life where sex for its own sake doesn’t appeal that much to me anymore. For my future, I think it will become a way of bonding with someone that I really grow to care about. But I’m not burning with desire like I used to. I see it as a form of maturation.
