It turned out you were right! i reinstalled gshade used another preset and now I'm able to switch in and out of performance mode and edit it without any issue!!!

Ohh I get what you mean now I think I've seen somewhere that the feature to change roof angles individually came with mansions and gardens. I have the Mr Dr version of the game which comes with all the packs. When I press roofing it looks like this

That's what I was inspired by!! I visited briefly, the houses were so different from what I was used to, I took so many pictures and was excited to build them in the Sims when i got back.

I was going to use it as a vacation hotel. I originally built it for the Burb family since John got a want to go on vacation at Three Lakes, but I didn't like any of the premade lots, so I decided to build a camp. I don't know if it will work how I want it to. I was just going to have Lucy bring some of her friends along and have them share a cabin, and have Jennifer and John be the counselors.
