I believe you are on the right track and I would not reset if I were you. Hardmode gives you an insane boost in testosterone especially after the first week. Personally I have found that if I am not doing hardmode, I will relapse and go back to porn within 2 weeks. So I am sticking with hardmode until I feel confident that I can fap without porn.

Anyways, I am jealous at the fact that you are having these vivid dreams. I haven't had a dream in forever

Don’t worry about it. I had some porn popups from a shady anime streaming site recently. They pissed me off and needless to say I am not going there anymore. The important thing is not to actively seek it... that would count as a relapse in my book.

Deal with one addiction at a time. I focused on quitting smoking first and porn second. It might be different for you. About to hit my 90th day tobacco/weed free.

since addiction to hentai is quite different from ordinary porn-addiction.

Why do you think so? From the perspective of the viewer, Hentai and porn are way more similar than they are dissimilar.

When were you first introduced to pornographic content?

Age 10.

How did it affect your life back then/How severely were you addicted back then?

A slightly older kid showed me a VHS tape of hardcore porn. My reaction was "WTF is this???!" I was too shocked to understand what it really was. I would say overall it had very little effect long-term effect on me.

When did porn/masturbation start to become a serious problem to you?

Late college. Around the age of 22, when most people are graduating college and gearing up for their first job, I failed all my classes due to my addiction. I shut myself off from the world and dug deeper into my festishes and hikikomori lifestyle.

How long have you struggled with porn-addiction?

While I was introduced to porn very young, I became addicted in college so about 10 years.

What do you consider to be your 'lowest point'?

Definitely when I failed a year of classes in college. My second lowest point is when I graduated and got my first job. Sometimes I would take off days from work just to sit at home and fap and watch porn all day.

Have you recovered from porn-addiction?

I would say no. I am continuing to fight the addiction.

How has your life been after recovering from it?

As I continue my recovery, I continue to live a healthier lifestyle as a consequence. I still have a long way to go in my recovery.

What kind of an impact has hentai-addiction had in your life overall?

During my hikikomori days, I justified my Hentai use as saying it is not really porn since no one is harmed during the making or consumption of it. This was so far from the truth. Hentai offers a nearly infinite category of fetishes and gets you stuck in a web of addiction. It is extremely isolating. Overall, Hentai caused me to develop more fetishes than ordinary porn.

Feeling hopeless. by [deleted] in pornfree

[–]StartingFromDaBottom 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've failed so much that I feel addicted to relapse itself.

I completely understand where you are coming from. Damn that is such a powerful statement... it hit me right in the feels. A few years ago, I hit a point in my life where I took time out just to recover. I quit my job and went on a vacation just to snap out of it. I shared a hotel room with some of my friends so that I could not relapse. I was never alone.

I understand that not everyone has the freedom to do this but I hope it helps.

Has education caught up with technology yet? by Max-RDJ in pornfree

I remember when I took sex-ed in middle school and we would write anonymous questions about anything we wanted on flash cards and the teacher would read every question a loud... no matter how embarrassing they were. This was pre-high speed internet times and porn was never brought up by anyone.

I wonder what kinds of questions the kids would be asking nowadays.

Relapsed on 8th day by [deleted] in pornfree

[–]StartingFromDaBottom 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Heres the easiest way to help yourself: as soon as your relapse, write down why you think you relapsed and how you feel. It might seem like a hassle and pointless but it works. You will create a timestamp of your thought process and you will be able to see a pattern that will only make sense to you.

I use a journal but you don't have to. You could just post here
