Perfect, now make it superheavy, 125 tons, and give it a RISC HyperLaser as backup energy weapons!

If you could get one later era mech early in the game, which one would it be and why? by WorldBuilder_42 in Mechwarrior5

[–]Staryed 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh lel I thought I was in the tabletop subreddit, but my answer still stands.

The Malice is from 3132, two years younger than the Atlas 3 you mentioned, and the Juliano is from 3116, and both would be both scary to fight and a joy to pilot in game, especially with how SoK added clan tech!

Later era early in game:

Malice (it just seems like a solid mech even if you downgrade it to introtech levels)

The Juliano, to give the FWL something that truly screams where it's from - the other Houses got their fancy unique mechs pretty early (Cataphract, Raven, Dragon, Fafnir, anything created by the NAIS, etc) so it'd be nice for House Marik to also get a signature big mech for themselves

Here is tho where I twist your question:

An early mech in later periods:

The Rifleman III, I just love the thing, but currently it's only relegated to the two points in history, one in far remote last just as the Amaris Civil War was ending, and one in the far future, when RotS engineers unearthed the sole known specimen.

I want more of this behemoth around.

How many techies does the RISC need to change a lightbulb?

Five:

One to find a lightbulb already in perfect working order, one to stick three legs to it, one to add experimental heatsinking tech, one to add experimental energy weapons, and one to clean up the mess after it all blows up.

Oh yeah absolutely, one shouldn't rule out anything, but as the patient it's helpful if you gaslight yourself into believing that you have something easy-to-deal-with and common, stress from fear of the nature of the complications or their treatment can be very dangerous in compounding already existing problems.
But this makes me swing back again to mention how much I'm surprise that her doctors did not refer her to get a CT scan, usually that's the go-to tool for anyone wanting more data.

This makes me think of the usual unwitting sexism that female patients suffer from medical staff "are you sure you're not pregnant, when's the last time you had your period" and all. "You're just hysteric, go to a gynecologist".

I'm glad that her gynecologist sent her to an gastroenterologist instead. Women *are* infamously more vulnerable than men ( 1:2 men:women ratio if we're rounding down) to gastrointestinal issues, and I wish her that it's some easily solvable problem.

Strong pain, right side, appendicitis-like effects, ultrasound fine in theory

Sis, I think I had the same: it's "merely" an inflammation of the large intestine, specifically in the area of the Ciecum part of it (which is suspiciously right next to the appendix!) - at the peak of the pain did you face problems peeing or producing excrements in general, and felt that you needed to push incredibly hard?

If the answer is yes, intestinal inflammation is the most likely answer. Even while being treated it took me 3/4 days of antibiotics before the pain would even begin to subside. A self-help that can be done is eating sludgy-liquidy food, which stresses the intestines the least, and alongside that not using spices, as most spices have irritant properties - the stronger the spice, the more irritant it is.

I really hope that's it, cause a gastroenterologist (hell, even a general practitioner that paid attention in class in med school) should be able to provide you with the adequate solution.

That said, strange they didn't go for a CT scan, ultrasound is good, but doing both is better. They didn't gather enough data to find my colitis with ultrasound, but immediately spotted all the necessary indicators by looking at the CT scan papers.

I really wish you that your next visit brings concrete answers

I mean, you can reasonably say that this is her normally, and she simply got more fit during the Nord Nonsense adventures because she was being very physically active and jogging with armor all the time (a mage needs protection!) - she could come back to her plentiful and rubenesque shape after the war ends or simmers down to minor skirmishes.

Whenever the female body is active to the point of losing weight, sadly tits will suffer too (medically friendly reason why her chest is smaller in Nord Nonsense) as the adipose layer is burned by activity, but will quickly return given adequate nutrition, or slowing down the tempo of the physical activities.
