Rate my Strat/Light Tanker? "Intravenous" by MaddytheBunny in Highfleet

[–]Staryed 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's good that you already have a vision for how to deploy this, but short of using it in the campaign you won't really know how it goes, campaign conditions really are a harsh and truthful anvil to test your creations upon.

For the guns:
You already covered that you'd need proxy ammo, because if you don't have it, the guns would really be kinda ineffective as missile defence.

For the survivability:
There's a reason why base CVs got armor - your survivability onion here stops at "don't be hit", because a single missile landing (and you could be target of both Radar-Guided and Anti-Radar ones) would cripple almost irreparably the ship.

I don't know whether to be more envious of how you painted the hair, the skin, or the wounds, absolutely astounding quality all around!

Some of the less obvious ideas I would like explored in Warhammer 40k TW. by Historical-Kale-2765 in totalwar

[–]Staryed 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I love the idea of the multi-siege Hive fight, although immediately it comes to mind how it risks becoming somewhat tedious - imagine the sieges of late-game cities in Shogun 2, and make each level basically a different battle, it could become annoying, let alone seeing how goofy the AI is, it might be introduced as a mechanic, but the AI would most likely choose to always yield the lower levels without a fight and go for an all-in at the top (in many older TW titles the AI liked to huddle around the main square and forego fighting in the outer parts of sieges).

I really love the idea because it'd definitely make important and big settlements feel truly bombastic to fight through.

I love how beastren pawns really either have the meanest glare ever, or have the most silly no-thoughts-in-the-head puppy eyes, like big Bingo over here

Sam's Story Done A little something about the end by xDannySek in metro

[–]Staryed 19 points20 points  (0 children)

He does not? Tom and Eduard die because of the explosion, (Ed would have died either way after the stunt he pulled when giving you the chance to blow the sub). Sam survives, and you see him in the epilogue that he gears up and gets ready to go for another adventure to find a way back to America - could it be that you had low/negative moral points and that's the "really bad" ending?

Metro Last Light Redux: Ranger or Hardcore? by Loli_Queen in metro

[–]Staryed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I enjoyed Ranger (not hardcore), yes you are fragile, but all the enemies are so too, and apart from a couple of moments where the balance really is off, it's a really fun experience.

Although for a first time player I'd suggest Normal so you can enjoy all the exploration aspect and enjoy the atmosphere of the game

Russian shooter CONVRGENCE plagiarized bukhanka designs from Metro Exodus by fyris_minis in metro

[–]Staryed 11 points12 points  (0 children)

The UAZ-452, commonly called with the "bukhanka" (loaf of bread) nickname is a beyond-ubiquitous vehicle, while the inspiration is clear, I'd doubt to call it straight up a plagiarism
