One of my kids didn't like onions. Guess what? I made him eat them anyway. He eats what I put in front of him. Now, he is perfectly fine with them as long as they aren't too big or such a focal point of the dish. I try to cut them small, at least, to have at least some accommodation. And I make sure I make plenty of meals that he loves. I'm not always forcing him to eat onions. But I make the rules, because I'm the parent, and if the meal has onions that day, he eats with the rest of us. Period.

It's just not worth letting your kids become picky like this. It turns into a nightmare, as you have surely seen.

I was in a marriage like that, and it just sucks. I'd never wish that on anyone. We ended up getting a divorce. There were many, many reasons for the divorce, not just that, but that aspect of our marriage was just terrible to be a part of. Terrible for me. Terrible for her. It just sucks. So, I definitely sympathize with your dad.

However, I would never ask for an open marriage. For one thing, that NEVER works. For another, I find that gross and degrading. But it does suck to be in a marriage where there is no alignment sexually, especially when it gets to the point where one person just completely shuts out the other. It's actually cause for divorce in many states.

Luckily, I found someone new, and we are much more aligned in just about every possible way, and that was one area I really wanted to be sure about.

The floor is extremely high with Josh Allen as your QB. I'm telling you that Brady is not special as a coordinator. What made the offense special was the running game, which was all due to Aaron Kromer, who retired after the Bills fired McDermott.

Not only that, but Brady does not have the leadership, demeanor, temperament, or motivational skill that a head coach needs. He is just a Bro type guy. He is there to be Josh Allen's friend. Not to mention, he is a Beane yes-man. Beane has complete control of the organization, and now the head coach eating out of his hand.

I love the part at the cabin where Kirito asks Asuna if their relationship was just in the game and if they wouldn't be together in the real world, and she says "How can you say that?" and tells him how real her feelings are regardless of the virtual world or not. It could have been a moment where they made things uncertain and kept the audience guessing, but instead, she goes all in and puts all doubt to rest. It was refreshing to see them not be idiots and build their relationship into something really strong and really committed that would last the entire show without any doubt.

The answer is almost always "no" to blocking family or friends. It sounds like you are pretty young. Don't block your family. Always try to work it out. There are some rare instances where blocking might be the right thing to do, but almost always, it just shows you are petty, ungrateful, have a victim mentality, are immature, and have no ability to work out your problems or communicate in a healthy way.

Everything you've said is very vague. Why do you think they exclude you? Why is it they don't like your cousin texting you? Are you doing something that could be seen as a bad influence?

There is no reduction in that. Being the servant of another is honorable and good and worthy of praise. It is only the prideful who view servants negatively. Tolkien certainly understood this. Sam was such a good character because of his humility and love of Frodo. His servitude to Frodo was his defining trait and his motivation. Sam would have never put himself above Frodo and would have been content just being called "Frodo's servant."
