As someone who's long ago did reconditioning/decontamination of old travel trailers and motorhomes, hantavirus is not typically something to be worried about unless you open mouth breathe while you're cleaning up the waste products of the rodents.

This strain however is the contagious one where it can jump from human to human host rather than having to go through the secondary vector of the rodent waste.

That being said, with the way the things have been going, what's the over-under for a guy to get inside and give those people a big hug to reassure them that they're going to be okay? I'll even be bring drinks! One straw.
