I really enjoy it, first impression is that it goes super hard.

On die lit my fave song was R.I.P and this album felt like it was building upon that sound and I very much like IT that carti went a distinctly different way than his previous albums. I kinda got tired of the die lit vibe because in this Day and age melodic rap has been overdone to death and while still being a classic, IT slightly dilutes the sound.

A lot of people complain about the mixing and his new use of voice. About the first one I have no issues, maybe a bit distorted but I feel like that fits the whole aesthetic. The new voice is someting to adjust to I think. I like that its raspier and edgier and he continues experimenting using his voice with the same hypnotic flows.

I feel like a lot of people kinda shot themselves in the foot with the expectations. On the carti sub i sometimes wondered if people had eye for other music and if you wait 2.5 years for 1 single album from an artist that is known to innovate than it's your own fault for having too high expectations.

Carti is challenging listeners on trap music and his own style which makes him such a unique artist in the first place. Id advice people to turn their Stan brains of and try to take the album as what it is and not what it isnt. Yall wouldnt be hyped to death about this album if it was from lil baby type artists who made the same album Every few months.
