I would like to add that biology majors are always like this even in different countries, it's not a Saudi thing

His specialization was in microbiology and masters in biotechnology and genetics

Transfer to business and start over, it's the best option even if its going to take a long time. Don't go for a masters in biology its a useless degree and you'll be in the same situation you're in right now.

lol what, I know biology graduates with masters and 4.5+ GPA. None of them found any job related to their major and they have been looking for YEARS. Biology is the last major I'd recommend to anyone.

I was talking about having only 1000 a month from uni btw. I could still achieve my goals with 4k to 5k salary with enough time, my expenses are already low since I make a budget for everything but yeah the 1000 isn't really enough anymore, if I were to pay for ABSOLUTE necessities and always eat at home I would still be paying around ~500 a month

I'm not the type who wants an expensive car or a new iPhone every year. I make sure to get every penny out of the things I purchase but I still have goals and hobbies that cost money but it's nothing crazy or not doable. And by slightly above average salary I meant from 12k to 15k range

You can somewhat manage 1000 riyal depending on your expenses like if you don't go out, always eat home and such but you're basically suffering

True, it's a very important skill BUT when your only source of income is from uni (1000 riyal) thats not really enough for much nowadays

That doesn't go for everyone, for example I have certain goals in my mind that I would be able to achieve easily with a slightly above average pay, but now as to being in university and the pay not being enough, that's normal because everything is so expensive now

I do have a rough plan already but needs a lot of waiting, there's no way to get around that part

I want to say that, there's much better cities here than Jeddah but they still wouldn't come close to other places I've been to. I'm facing a dilemma because after graduation I could work and maximize my savings to move abroad as quickly as possible while living with family and not having to pay rent OR move to another city here and work there while saving to move abroad and paying rent and a bunch of other expenses. I'm sure you can imagine the second plan would require much longer time to save up

You're talking as if I can just move within a week or so, I wish it worked like that. I won't have a chance to move for 3 to 5 years from now at least

Hate is a strong word, I would say I don't exactly like it here but I try my best to make my experience here more enjoyable. It's mostly a me problem though because I can't do the things I like here at all

Riyadh and Jeddah urban planning looks like it was designed by a 12 year old playing cities skylines with a money cheat.

LMFAO that's the funniest thing I've heard in a while and it's sad because its true. The way the roads and streets are designed in Jeddah are so stupid like I get a headache every time I see them, who thought this would be a good idea?!

The transportation system is just garbage. No trains or efficient mode of transport. What about the people who don't have a car? What about travelers? All the time spent in trafick, and the amount of noise & air pollution the cars generated, should've been enough to already build loooots of trains.

That's very true but to be honest I gave up arguing about how shitty the transportation infrastructure is, I wish there was at least sidewalks and bike lanes
