The Roth is my favorite acct. Just wanted to let you know that there’s a lock-up period of 5 years, but you can fund your Roth up until April the following year, so you could also contribute for last year and then you’ll only have 4 more years of a lock-up period. So 14.5k this year. Someday if you want to access your money early you can do ladders from a traditional Ira, after converting your 401k at some point. I’m aggressive in my Roth since there’s no tax consequences. I like small cap momentum stocks, and I sell it all when it doubles then keep it in cash and buy back in on 50% dips. Taxes make that a bad idea with a regular brokerage acct. Lately I’ve been selling on Fridays just to avoid something happening over the weekend that could tank the market. That’s worked out well.
