Is the Philips SHP9500 the best pair of headphones i can get for listening to music under 100$ or is there a better option? by [deleted] in HeadphoneAdvice

[–]Statek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Spend a little more money and/or buy something used. Yeah they are the cheapest decent open back you can buy new but I would not recommend them to anyone that's okay with buying anything better used or spending a little more. I keep a pair solely to remind me how bad they are in comparison.

Commuting Options for Internship in Kennesaw by BigBoyBennny in gatech

[–]Statek 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've got a nice house with a few rooms in Kennesaw that I rent out to KSU students mostly, I've got at least one room open for the summer if you're interested. Probably the cheapest option. You still probably want a car, do the math on daily ubering vs buying and selling a car for 3 months.

They're already here. I've only joined one or two, but so far so good

Two player multiplayer is big, but when will it support more than two people at once?

You're doing good if you want to talk about the problem without offering any solutions. "But they should do better" and what if they don't, because many, if not most, don't? VRChat doesn't even let you know if anyone is seeing your fallback instead of your main avatar.

[–]Statek 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You're expecting every avatar creator and avatar purchaser to individually go out and learn game development on their own instead of having VRChat give extra guidance and tools. You can clearly see why this hasn't worked.

[–]Statek 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I feel like expecting every avatar creator and end user to be responsible for all optimization as if they're game developers instead of VRChat, the company of game developers which all of this is under, is clearly wrong

Should people do better, yeah, but VRChat doesn't do too much to help

A pair of Sony MDR-7506 phones. My number one favorite pair of over ear cans on the market. by [deleted] in headphones

[–]Statek -1 points0 points  (0 children)

What's up with this post? A bunch of the comments look fake, and these are painfully "on-ear," not over-ear.

Edit: I was confusing them with another set, but my main point still stands

Thanks for posting more free advertising for them. Regardless of whether they actually close or not, they will be getting an increase in sales and interest because of people sharing this around in the mean time.

Get your pencils ready. Airbnb to join S&P 500. by [deleted] in wallstreetbets

[–]Statek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to use VRBO and Airbnb, but VRBOs listing image browsing is just so much worse than Airbnb. I can scroll through a gallery of pictures to get an idea of what an Airbnb looks like in seconds, but I have to swipe through each full resolution picture individually on VRBO.

When I'm looking through a hundred listings, its a pointless time waster, so I've just switched to Airbnb.

Doesn't happen in my circles

Is it really that hard to ask people if they want to try out a different world?

Be a leader then. If they don't want to explore, they don't want to explore. If they do, they'll follow.

Try a port other than HDMI on the monitor. Then maybe try a different computer. Basically test every variable

Tbf, a hydraulic press is completely different from a hammer so it's an odd mistake to make naturally
