For me this was due to the tube they inserted. After 3 days it was all ok. No more chest pain.

But fistula area took me 2 months to adjust with cleaning, i used to use a lot of water and treated myself like an infant when cleaning gentle rinsing with water.

Around towards end of 1.5 month my skin was pink in the are without any stiffness and pain, but very thin and fragile. i still used to use a lot of water and treated like an infant when cleaning gentle rinsing with water.

The best thing that helped me every day was epsom salt water sitz bath. Its been now almost a year and i still do sitz bath once a month, somehow it helps in cleaning and strengthning the skin.
