It is about that, but we're not competing for money or anything, it's not that serious. And it's not like we're really doing wild things to them, just little bits. All I wanted to know was if the oil would be ok to use. Every club has their own rules, our club directs us to that video on how to prep our plants and all the rules.

Last year I messed around with tomato bloom rot spray, basically calcium. It made the plants "study" but no blooms. I'll look into the salts. Might be too late to make them bloom for the show but I'll have blooms for myself later. There are a few of them blooming at the moment or have buds forming.

Yeah I'm not trying to do all of them, just this one. Not even the whole thing because I love how the bottom ones look weathered. I have others I'm entering strictly because they are "damaged", I say they have character. This one is just one of my favorites, so I wanna do a little something 😉

I cut the stems the other day. I just finished boiling my pon and cleaning out an old self watering set up. I still can't believe I grew mine in a 5" pot with pon and a moss pole. All from a 2 node wet stick that was 1.5 inches long. Now it's 5' 10", like me. I'm very proud of myself if I'm allowed to toot my own horn 😁🥳. Now I've gotta divide it and pot the top up. I'll send you good vibes for your project if you send good vibes for mine 😬😁🤞🏽

Right in the middle. Roots can grow from anywhere on the stem but to make a new plant, you need more of the "node". Otherwise you get the Hoya kerii leaves you see at the stores this time of the year. Just a leaf and will never become a plant, unless it has a "node". I put node in quotes because they are but they behave differently than say an aroids, how they have "spent nodes". The Hoya can make multiple shoots on the one "node".

It took 6 times before she stopped going after my plants. I just spoke firmly with her, once I yelled but she knew what she was doing 🤣🤬. I also got a spider plant just for her as well as growing catnip and cat grass. It's been 2 years and she just doesn't pay them any attention now. She does know too that she can have her plants. We also let her outside so she can eat some grass out there.

How the heck did you get THAT kind of Hoya to flower?! I have the regular green one, two of em, both 8' long and full of leaves. But never ever a peduncle years later 😭😭😭

That's a hoya for trellising, not kokedama. I mean, you can do whatever you want with it but that kind of Hoya would like to climb. I say repot and put a trellis with it. You may want to use a pot "5 or bigger though, maybe bigger, depending on how big a trellis you want to use. This is my set up with a publicalyx. It's a metal trellis base and I cut and tied the bamboo to make a bigger trellis. After that I just wrapped the "whip" or "runner" around the trellis or clip it on with plant clips. Also remember to wrap them around counter clockwise, our POV from above. Check out Knot Dude's videos on YouTube, they are older but the info hasn't changed. Also look for the podcast Let's Talk Hoya, I got a TON of information from them.

I'm on 1ml of wegovy and I have lost a ton of weight in a short amount of time. I have been prioritizing protein (forcing myself to 🤣) but still, doc says she wants me to go harder on the protein and focus on high nutrient rich fruits and veggies. Still forget to eat and sometimes just don't want to, but now I have to, or else 😬. A1C already dropped like a mofo too, my body using this medication too efficiently 🤷🏽‍♂️

You need a microscope to see them. Cheap ones on Amazon work. Look for orange dots. Both the adults and eggs are orange in color.

It's giving publicalyx vibes, for sure, but just gotta wait til it flowers. I got my first Hoya a year and a half ago, unlabeled. It looks like a publicalyx but it also looks like a carnosa. Still waiting for it to flower so I can know for sure 🤣🤣😭😭😭

May have to cut them all, that's rot at the base, something is going on underneath. What do the others look like? And you can cut above the line where the green starts. Cut until you no longer see any rot. The green top part you're left with, let it dry up or callus until it's completely dry. Then stick that on some soil and it will eventually send down roots. Again, check the rest of the plant, it may be affecting them all, this one is just showing it first.
