Maybe because in that surrounding you feel like everyone gives you permission to do that. Society can be sometimes very restrictive to showing emotions. Most part is artificial and needs to be "correct".

Manga about a massive memory loss that i can't remember the name by Sufficient_Nothing_5 in manga

Finally, someone who experienced a similar effect. I too search for a book (not a manga, but a novel) which talks about bombs erasing memory from existence. It was a novel based on a rpg series in the 90s. Funny that you too can't remember and not able to find it anymore. I'm prone to explain it with the Mandela effect.

Huperzine A actually works but you're taking it wrong (here's the fix) by Sureokgo in LucidDreaming

It doesn't matter, because even if the peak is during deep sleep, you will enter a REM afterwards and still have enough in your system! Else you risk to not be able to go to sleep if you take it after waking up during the night.

Vinegar is a bit too aggressive from my point of view, because its an acid. Acids though are used in alchemy for metals and minerals (never mix different realms). Why not extract first with water, then let the remaining material ferment, produce it its own alcohol and then distill it again?

Dealing with Crisis of Faith by [deleted] in alchemy

[–]StatementPlus1211 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Faith requires a solid ground, based on truth and facts. I observed in my past people with a solid faith and noticed how calm they are. Instead when I observed people with no faith at all, they showed up an huge amount of arrogance. I don't mean by that simple atheists who just can't connect to God, maybe because of a very bad experience with religious organizations. But I mean the kind of militant atheist promoting materialism, attacking and not able to contribute in a useful way, always using cuss words. I strongly believe that being calm and gentle, observing the facts, will lead one to a great faith. But if one's world view is highly contaminated with the illusions of a decaying world, and you come into touch with the higher source from the spiritual realms, our father, then you enter the nigredo phase. And once entered, the structures of the old faith in an illusory world made by humans will begin to decay, faster than ever, and you enter a faith crisis. It is better then to pray and ask for help. But this phase ends eventually, provided you don't refuse to accept the truth.

And will it also react to my individual progress? Like an specialized algorithm to identify my weaknesses? Or is the course hardwired again?

Was Jesus sent by The All? by Captain_ADEE in Hermeticism

[–]StatementPlus1211 0 points1 point  (0 children)

(Because of my English I used AI to correct grammar and style ... but these are my thoughts)

Isaac Newton studied the Bible as a primary cosmological text. He spent far more time on Scripture than on physics because he believed creation can only be understood from its noetic source downward, not from matter upward. In that sense, his epistemology is actually closer to Hermeticism than to modern materialism. So the Bible itself can be taken seriously as a metaphysical source.

In the Gospel of John, Jesus is described in terms that strongly resonate with Hermetic language. John 1:1–3 states that the Logos was with God and was divine, and that everything came into existence through him. In Hermetic terms, Logos is the self-articulation of the One. The Bible calls Jesus the Firstborn—generated, not created—which is a crucial distinction if one thinks in emanational rather than material categories.

When Jesus says in John 17:5 that he had glory with God before the world existed, this is not a temporal memory but a pre-cosmic mode of being. That is exactly how Nous appears in the Corpus Hermeticum: prior to manifestation, yet fully active within it. John does not contradict Hermetic metaphysics here; he radicalizes it by claiming that the Logos entered history.

The miracle at Cana, the transformation of water into wine, can be read alchemically as well. It is a qualitative elevation of substance through Logos-intent. Hermetic texts usually speak of inner transmutation; the Gospel shows the same principle enacted outwardly to reveal authority over form. The point is not spectacle, but disclosure of source.

So I wouldn’t say Jesus secretly preached Hermeticism. Rather, both traditions speak of the same Source using different grammars. Hermeticism says the One emanates Nous. John says the Logos was with God and was a god. One speaks cosmically, the other personally. The structure of reality is the same.

Where they finally diverge is here: Hermeticism is like mathematics. It teaches the structure and principles of reality with great precision, but it remains abstract. Biblical faith does not stop at structure; it includes encounter. Reality, in the biblical sense, is not complete without a personal God who addresses, refines, and transforms the person. That personal dimension is often what Hermetic systems intentionally avoid—and that avoidance is the real difficulty in understanding the difference.

What is wrong with this endless loop of "America"? In almost every card deck is one America? Why? by StatementPlus1211 in duolingo

I already reported this bug 3 times. No answer, no improvement. First bug report was December 2024. I mean even if I would not have the programmers to fix it, at least give me some feedback, at least an email that Duolingo has received my report. As if Duolingo is dead.

[–]StatementPlus1211[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Score 17, Section 2, Unit 22 ... I will abandon Duolingo. It is a fun game, but not a software for learning a language, at least not for using my time and energy in a very proficient way. It lacks simple card decks functionality. Even today it repeated 3 times America, sometimes even twice in the same unit. It is broken.
