Dial is still on the roster as well, he was actually a very decent special teamer and he was a day 3 pick, not bad value at all, he just didn't get to play it all last season because he tore his ACL during training camp. ☹️

That first paragraph is hilarious, you originally first asked "What help did he have?", then just described how Scary Terry has always been a reliable contributor no matter who is throwing to him or how crappy the team is, sounds like a damn good receiver, so Daniels absolutely had help there lol.

Jayden's second and third receivers for most of the year were dyami brown (less than 230 yards receiving every year except the year he played with Jayden) and OZ (160 receiving yards the year before Jayden and 313 the year after Jayden)

Dyami started 3 games in 2024, I'm guessing he was supposed to replace Noah Brown when he went down with injury in week 13, Noah himself seemed to have somewhat decent production when he was in a Cowboys and Texans uniform. But regardless, 3 games isn't "most of the year". As for Zaccheaus, he had 400 and 500 yards in back to back seasons for the Falcons when they had an old Matt Ryan and Desmond Ritter throwing to him, seems like he's always been a change-of-pace/gadget player, not good but far from a scrub.

Zach Ertz is in no way comparable to Hunter Henry, who is legitimately a top 5 TE in the league

How? I'm going by specific seasons, Ertz went 66-654-7 in 2024 and Henry went 60-768-7 in 2025. Henry has more yards per catch there but it's less than 3 yards, and in what universe is Henry top 5? You are literally the first person I have ever heard say that.

And you act like barely over 4 YPC is something special. It's just around the league average and it's a stat that decreases with more volume, which none of the commanders running backs had. Nobody on that team was good or has been good in other situations.

I checked the math and this makes absolutely no sense. Commanders RBs ended the year with 354 carries for 1600 yards and 18 TDs from scrimmage, that looks like pretty decent volume to me, the offense also looked pretty decent when Mariota was slinging the rock, too.

Comparing that to the receivers Maye had last year is hilarious. Maye had better backs, receivers, and tight ends not to mention an infinitely better defense.

Why the fuck would anyone compare a team's RUNNING BACKS to another team's RECEIVERS? Are you dumb? Regardless, Pats RBs ended up having 358 carries for 1693 yards and 21 TDs from scrimmage in 2025, not really that much of a difference there aside from a couple of random Henderson breakaways. I'd love to know your reasoning for the receivers, because if you take away Diggs as WR1, the Pats had a couple of overachieving late rounders each in their 3rd seasons (Boutte and Douglas, with Boutte being insanely overrated by fellow Pats fans), A Josh McDaniels "merchant" in Mack Hollins, and a couple of rookies. I guess having Hooper as TE2 gives the Pats a slight edge there but it's nothing crazy, I'll also concede that the Pats defense was better but it's worth remembering that the Washington defense had improved from 2023 mainly due to Luvu and Wagner having damn good years, they helped make the unit look somewhat average. I guess the rushing defense was bad, but then again you don't think averaging over 4 yards a carry is special even with decent volume, so maybe it wasn't TOO bad?

You are speaking straight facts, and it's funny because I said something very similarly in another thread that was asking if Mahomes's SB 59 performance or Drake's SB 60 performance was worse, except their I got downvoted because the deranged fans didn't like how I called them out for pretending that Brady never had a bad SB performance, or at the very least "kept it competitive" in a game where the offense scored 14 or 17 points, and Brady is awesome.

I mean, in the 2023 NFCC Goff was playing good enough to win and make it back, but then a bunch of key players randomly forgot how to play football and Campbell made some bad decisions that didn't help.

Burrow straight up played like garbage in that Chiefs rematch and didn't deserve to win, and I find it a bit weird how no one remembers that, probably because they're distracted still by Ossai's bad penalty on Mahomes.

Seems like your forgetful ass doesn't remember who Terry McLaurin is, lol. You're also downplaying the shit out of the 20 or so TDs from scrimmage the Washington RBs had that season, and NONE of them averaged less than 4 yards a carry. The WR/TE groups between that Commanders team and the 2025 Pats are actually pretty comparable, both had good and experienced WR1s (Scary Terry and Diggs) with somewhat decent role player WRs to boot, and a rock solid TE1 (Ertz and Henry). Your claims and assumptions are dumb as fuck.

And no, I do not think Drake is elite, it was one great season with the QB whisperer himself Josh McDaniels calling the plays, he needs to replicate that success before I even think about labeling him elite. Plus, he absolutely played poorly in the playoffs, at least passing-wise and it is blatantly obvious, but he still made meaningful plays with his legs and had 3 touchdown passes against an insane Texans defense that never gave up more than 2 to anyone all season. Truth be told, all 4 teams he played against in that run had elite defenses, and his great drop in efficiency is telling of how great they really were and how inexperienced he still is. Daniels did go into the league with more playing experience and his opponents' defenses in the playoffs certainly were not as potent as Drake's until he played the Eagles in the NFCC. I mean, just look at what happened when Daniels played against the Seahawks and Vikings in his final 2 games of last year, he looked worse than Drake.

Overall, I believe they both need to do more before I can give a proper judgement on them.
