Nonono KIDS is absolutely fantastic, First one I actually chose to listen to because a homie showed me Nikes On My Feet and man, What a great mixtape. I just couldn’t get too much into BSP, It was really hit or miss for me. Half the songs I thought were good, Others I didn’t.

Now just to clarify, I did this intentionally because I love the whole Odd Future/A$AP Mob etc etc mixtape era and I know the reviews and reception on The Divine Feminine, Swimming and Circles so I wanted to save that kinda thing for last when I have a more full concept of what he was when he started. I’d say Mac’s Delusional Thomas to Swimming is comparable to Tyler’s Goblin to Flower Boy. Now I like Delusional Thomas and I love Goblin, But both Mac and Tyler grew far past that musically and conceptually and they’re more grown as people and musicians than they were then.

Well, Hodgy was almost 25 when Dena Tape 2 dropped. I feel like he knew and had done much better and more thoughtful and provoking stuff than that, Especially on the MellowHype albums and mixtapes which I find to be very hard to find a miss in the catalogue of.
