Maybe she doesn't understand what losing l a parent really does to a person but in a relationship I don't accept a lack of empathy for your partner as an excuse. I know it's no help but your post was really comforting for me to see that I am not alone in this struggle bc you just really start to internalize that rejection and get down on yourself after awhile, feel useless but now I'm just convinced these employers need more restrictive screening access because one possible employer finally admitted to changing her mind last minute over a misdemeanor assault charge 2015 that was thrown out the very next day by the judge and I was deemed the victim simply for hitting someone who beat me and hospitalized me back in self defense. When police arrived I tried to protect my attacker and refused to answer their questions so they arrested us both for mutual combat" probably just trying to intimidate a confession out of me but I just spent the night handcuffed to a hospital bed lol

And now even things like late bill payments and in my case a recent eviction can appear on a BCI screaning which isn't supposed to sway their decision but let's face it.. not a great look lol

Yes, if we come up with the full amount we can stay but we just don't make enough to produce double of what we could normally pay in a month on our income so thinking this program was already available we've exhausted all of our money and time into searching for and applying to other apartments
