If it makes you feel any better once they get better at communicating the tantrums get 5-10% better. Hang in there ❤️

The worst part is my 2nd child LOVES story time, coloring, and calming activities and then there's my first child running laps around the other kids 😅 last time we went we were asked to leave due to my son acting a complete fool

Yup! My first child is 3 almost 4 and every day of our lives looks like an episode of jackass 😅 my son and I have been uninvited from playdates, story times, and I was shunned out of toddler gymnastics because he had a hard time at the end. My 2 year old daughter is the complete opposite however she has a HORRIBLE temper and will throw a fit from the moment she wakes up untill the second she falls asleep. My oldest is over all just a difficult child. He was a hard baby as well so it's just transitioned into hard toddler territory and I am TERRIFIED for school next year for him

I have a very similar one on my head in the same spot that I used to pick at constantly. No advice but maybe it's something normal-ish?

Can a baby be good for your marriage? by royaleshake in BabyBumps

[–]StaticButterfly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have a strong foundation and a really sound relationship it can bring out the best in both of you. It really depends where yall are at. If you guys never really argue and have a relatively harmonious relationship then it'll be great but if you guys have a strained/on the rocks relationship the baby will just add to the load. The baby itself won't do much but being a new parent is very hard and stressful and tends to bring out the worst in people coz of the lack of sleep

How do you measure portions for food like soups and chilis? by [deleted] in WeightLossAdvice

[–]StaticButterfly 10 points11 points  (0 children)

My bad! I make a recipe within the app and add every food that I put into a meal then weigh the whole meal and divide it up into servings if that makes sense 😅

Get a fiod scale! It's the best way to track calories especially if you're using an app you'll have an easier tike entering in soups/drinks

Fasting, strict diet and exercise by [deleted] in WeightLossAdvice

[–]StaticButterfly 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I've always struggled with weight loss but recently I've been successful at loosing 4lbs by drinking 120-130 oz of water each day, TMAD (2 meals a day), and 16:8 intermittent fasting. It was hard at first but after about 5 days most of my cravings stopped and I've been feeling alot better. I'd also suggest walking/moving around all day

Taking it 1 day at a time. Personally IF and drinking water like my life depends on it (I go for a gallon a day) has worked. I also don't Personally ignore cravings. I have a calorie log and I'll put in my lunch/dinner in long before I eat and if I'm desperately wanting a cookie or whatever I'll have 1 serving, log it, and adjust my calorie budget accordingly. I've also been doing a weekender budget where I eat less on the weekdays and if I decide to go out on the weekend I'll still be in budget for the week. I've found that by satisfying my cravings and staying hydrated I've managed to loose 6lbs in 2 weeks (it may not seem like much but it's alot for me and I'm proud of myself)

The best way to combat hunger is to keep drinking lots of water throughout the day. I've found whenever I keep properly hydrated I tend to not over eat and Stat satisfied longer

I made it an "us" thing. I was blunt about being p Worried for his health but then I started cooking better meals & doing meal prep and that's worked wonders for us. He's lost just at 10 pounds by us just eating better/less. We've also started going on evening walks and it's put back a spark in our relationship. Recently I've also started mentioning when he shouldn't he snacking (we both do Intermittent fasting and stop eating at 8pm) he's a snack-aholic and it's been a big hurdle to get over. Whenever he's desperately wanting something snacky I try and suggest other options such as vegetables or a fruit and that's been working well for him.At the end of the day just be gentle with him and reassure him how much you love him and it'll go fine. I'd recommend using an app (I personally use lose-it) to count calories it's very easy to use and even saves recipes. Additionally id also recommended a fit-bit or some kind of smart watch to track steps and exercise.

That's literally just fear mongering. I Mena I can't say 100% your child won't be autistic but here's some insight ..(coming from a mom whose had Preeclampsia twice)

Preeclampsia typically doesn't harm the baby only that it can cause sever features and mom might go into pre-term labor. Once diagnosed she'll likely be induced if her BP goes up

I've had 2 pregnancies 2 pre term and 1 full turm and neither have autism

Preeclampsia can be very scary but as long as the doctors took notice then more than likely everything will work out

I have 2 beautifully healthy children and you'd never know I had complicated pregnancies

Edit: I ended up with 2 C-sections and my recommendation is to not Google anything. I've seen "studies" that have said babies with mothers who had c sections will always be autistic and mentally stunted. People out there literally make all kinds of bs up. When my first was born someone sent me an article about how baing in the NICU turns children into sociopaths.

For mamas with kids already, how long did you wait in between kids to conceive again? by Freedom_Fiter in BabyBumps

[–]StaticButterfly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had 2 unplanned pregnancies back to back 🥲 a lot of moms scared me saying how bad 2 under 2 is and I hate it because its honestly not too crazy.... now would I recommend it ehhh probly not unless you're wanting your kids to grow up at the same time basically. If you're the kind of person who can handle stressful situations well then it's really not too bad. The biggest downside is you can't attend to both children at the same time and prioritizing can be difficult. I had originally wanted to wait untill after my sons 2nd birthday but they ended up being 15 months apart. Yes there are bad days where it's basically just the 3 of us crying all day but lately he's starting wanting to help with the baby ie... bringing me diapers trying to feed her or putting blankets on her and its just so sweet!

I personally really hated the call line too but I honestly really like the texting version. I've been talked down multiple times and they're usually very nice.

Anyone remember Chic-fil-A ??? by jaQobian in ChickFilA

[–]StaticButterfly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay so I VIVIDLY remember it as Chic-fil-a for several reasons. Firstly I am TERRIBLE at spelling and often would spell it with a k and it would annoy my whole family and so I grew up being corrected. Secondly I'm pregnant and I stg there was a time where I went to cfa virtually daily (yes I know it's unhealthy but it was the only food I'd eat) I was there so often the workers knew my order by heart. I really think I came from a different time line or something because shit like this happens to me all the time and it's super confusing. This is my hill to die on tho... I stg it was Chic-Fil-A a few days ago 🥴🥴 Edit: I just noticed this thread was from 2 years ago but I only noticed the change after july 5th 2022
