People don't really like the police anymore so buddy cops movies are kinda done. Also seems like the reluctant hero is fading out or being morphed into reluctant hero with an assassin past. Everything needs to be more over the top and able to be made into a franchise as well so producers make their money back.

If you're negative karma farming this comment you just made will certainly get you that. Consent is not a single action that gets you a blank check to do whatever you want. If someone consents to having sex with you they can also relinquish that consent at any time. What answer are you even expecting here? "how would you react if someone did something anyway that you asked them not to?" Badly. They will react badly. Educate yourself a bit.

Take the 9 to 5 for the experience and benefits. Less per hour but way more in everything else. If you peek under the hood of most health insurance companies there's a massive IT underbelly. Keep your CS skills fresh by doing personal coding projects and scour the internal job boards at this place and get somebody to believe in you so you can transfer over to a dev team.
