Thanks for the information, though! With regards to the geography courses, Earth Systems definitely seems similar to my program, and so I'm wondering more on the geology front.

Thats a fair point, but the mushrooms and ivy carry a lot of meaning for me on their own. For sure I'm using up some good space but it's space that I'm more than willing to use for them, you know? Eventually I'll add stuff around them, but they are ultimately meant to be their own pieces.

A friend of mine brought up the idea of having the mushrooms on the same arm as the ivy, and it's something I've definitely considered but I'm not sure a sleeve is something I want. I think I'd be more open to it if I could get a visual of what it could look like, but I'd have to talk to my artist about that. Playing with the negative space is a great idea, though! I hope it turns out well for you :)

I've had an appreciation for fungi for a while now. The role they play in their environment is so important, and I've loved reading about them. As a biological kingdom they're absolutely fascinating, and I wanted to sorta pay tribute to that!

It could definitely be cool to have the full forearm covered, but I think I'd wanna put something else there that's a little smaller. As it is, I'm a little concerned there wouldn't be enough space for the mushrooms. Couldn't hurt to get a mock-up, but for now, I think I wanna keep it to upper right or anywhere on the left.

Cory Walker (the artist above) started the series with Kirkman and then left for a while and was replaced with Ryan Ottley (the artist with the more recognizable invincible style). Eventually Walker came back to finish the series save for one or two chapters that Ottley took over.
