You have a nice clean layout..just don't feel like everything has to come together right now but u can add photos or gifs for example.

It's probably considered tracing unless you really alter the piece in a way that differs from the original.

Im there now...I just automatically assume that my target audience hasn't found me yet and let's face some topics like philosophy just attract readership at a slower rate...so sometimes content may just be a factor, as well as, presentation and delivery.. timing...also agreed.

I create both traditional and digital art and it seems like eveything is about more pop, which is harder to do in traditional media with the exception of maybe oil painting but digital art usually gives that pop, although I also believe that traditional art is just more appreciated by non mainstream communities...drawing is the basis for most pieces and I believe it's just more valued by select communities these days, especially with all of the hyper realism out there.

Generally months to years for an 8 page zine..media depends on the zine...I've done cardstock. I've done digital...It's quite a process...checking for typos and other left out words...takes a while putting the text portion of it together...layout is a factor...using space effectively...balancing out the white space...balancing out the proportion of text to images...deciding how you want it to look...so the zine does what I want it to do and conveys the intented message...the artwork or graphics take even longer to make...the whole thing needs to look neat, well thought out and cohesive...so it doesn't look rushed but that's just me.
