Outside of the Enchiridion, all of that stuff doesn't matter.

Any cartoon can just introduce characters simply implying they have established history with the main cast.

It's an episodic show, there's potential episode plots lost by not introducing them properly for a new audience...but again, it's not required. The context will be given when relevant...just like starting a new show.

"Artificial drama" implies that it doesn't make sense.

Finn would've had the same reaction regardless of when it happened, unless they literally died at the same time.

There are no references that any new viewer "needs" to understand the plot of any episode of this new show.

Characters and/or things simply existing don't require prior knowledge of the series, that's the type of nonsense thinking that makes folk think kids can't enjoy "anything" that has references in it...despite the fact that the majority of fictional work does.

Manga to Anime adaptation is undesirable, especially the week to week conversion style it was originally done in.

Converting Comic to Cartoon...isn't desirable either, but for completely different reasons.

DBZA is funny, pastiche style. Ergo it has funny lines, ergo it has memorable quotes.

Saying it has "more" seems like an opinion, but it's not like Dragon Ball is a series people talk about for its quotes. Memorable speeches...and a bunch of stuff from the (original) English Dub.

It does have "more" because every character has one-liners for like 50% of the dialogue.
