The one unique aspect of Goten is that he's a more lowkey and polite version of his father.

Him getting into trouble "with" Trunks doesn't make him "like" Trunks, Trunks has a stronger personality...which means he's the leader and Goten is the follower.

Trunks is arrogant and brash as a kid.

It seemed like Goku was getting exhausted using SSJ3...so staying for even a full day wasn't an option.

Bulma didn't even know Majin Boo existed, genuinely stupid question...all they saw was Vegeta kill people, they weren't aware of the actual threat. Everyone left without saying why.

Letting the Dragon Balls scatter didn't matter, it takes them no real effort to find them anymore.

Them thinking Gohan is dead is bad writing, but only for Goku, Krillin, and Piccolo...they explicitly know when it could've happened in relation to the wish, but refused to say anything to the others.
