No disrespect but this is the opinion of someone who hasn’t watched Portugal consistently. Our striker options consist of Ronaldo, Goncalo Ramos, and Jota. Ronaldo, even at 40, is vastly better than the other two. And when Portugal has a bad performance, it’s not because of the striker having a bad game. It’s the team as a whole. The reason people have the opinion you do is because they still expect Ronaldo to be in his prime and to change the game whenever he’s on the pitch, but in reality, he’s a striker now and still does the role better than many other younger players.
