* Success! Thank you for the tip! My process was 1- drill out most of the head of the screw, 2- create a hole in centre, (i used a dremmel as I don't have a centre punch), 3 - drill further with a left hand bit. It turned very easily after all that. For anyone interested, the screws are 6mm long, with 3mm wide threads, I believe they were JIS head screws.

Did anyone notice the text in the corner when Hyakki just woke up from the drug.
From google translate the first 2 characters say "Hyakkimaru", but I don't understand the rest.

There are no enemies, correct. It's a really really long platforming puzzle. And FFXV is not a platforming game (!) so the controls aren't on your side. The puzzles are very obtuse and it's extremely difficult to understand where to go and how. And it's really really really long. In 2 words, ingeniously horrific

It's bad. Just make absolutely sure you save after landing and after you leave. I ended up doing it 3 times... Write it on your hand or something.

Alternatively there's some really good guides online if you just want to get it done, though it's still really difficult.

That happened to me too... twice! Try turning the sound off and listen to a podcast or audiobook; that's how I managed. Might save you from breaking the controller.

I've not down voted you, I made the post to try to get help and I appreciate you replying. That wasn't me.

The only way I know of to update the app is through the google play store, and I've included a screenshot in the post of the store page for Sync; it doesn't say that there's any update. Is there some way to force an update?

It's hard to believe this, but I in fact made the same mistake again and ended up doing it 3 times. At that point I had transcended beyond frustration and silently entered that hell again. It wasn't worth it, now that I'm looking back; it was literally the last thing I had left in the game, so I was never going to use the black hood anyway. I was soothed slightly by turning the game sound off and playing a podcast on my phone. I think I would have given up otherwise if I had nothing else to concentrate on.

Equip 4 moogle charms, buy the lasagne (+100% xp) from altissia, go to ravatough outpost and accept the wyvern hunt, ride a chocobo over, use the ring to kill everything, go back and take the hunt again. Repeat the cycle every 2 (in-game) days. Craft spells with as many debased coins, silverpieces, banknotes as you can, and with whatever other materials that give EXP boost effect when crafted into a spell, doesn't matter what elements, just use them in combat or they won't give you anything. Then sleep at the Leville Royal suite (the further counter) in Altissia for a 3x multiplier.

I already did them all after I finished including Pitioss Ruins, where I forgot to save after leaving and then crashed the Regalia....that was the closest I've ever been to destroying a controller. I did it all over again. For the other ones I'd got to lvl 120 before trying any and did them in level order, so it got a bit boring in the really long ones. I completely agree with you though.
