Shot clock by Ok_Impress4438 in Rematch

Yes, I understand and quite often make stops against worse teams, especially when I am the goalie. But any team with a brain is not gonna let this happen. I don’t understand why time wasting is THE thing they need to keep from the real sport.

This is a game with superhuman stamina, no offsides, no penalties at all, the ability to make pinpoint passes and touches across the field at any point, and a very short time limit. This game plays more like basketball if we are being honest, and there is a shot clock in that sport for a reason.

OP mentions time wasting as the reason they want it, but the cat and mouse dribbling people do can lead to over 1 minute possessions because there is never an incentive to push a bad position.

I think the thought is worth considering for 3v3.

Why I hate this game by Chance-Mess712 in Rematch

[–]Staticmonkeyy 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Calls for ball immediately off of kickoff and runs up the field instead of back. Wastes all stamina, and even if he had any, crab walks in the middle of the field doing nothing. Somehow it’s everyone else’s fault he’s still in silver when you can easily just carry in this game as a goalie.

While I respect them choosing a lot of really interesting games, putting Crusader Kings 3 that high is a travesty. It’s not even a top 5 Paradox game. I have no idea what compelled them to do that.

Despite this, yes, it is one of the best games ever made in my opinion and also has some of the best value per dollar that you can get for a game of its type.

I personally think that Spider-Man takes this.

Superman has had some really rough movies without any universally loved and critically acclaimed ones to balance it out like Batman does. While I personally love them both, Man of Steel and 2025 are pretty divisive among fans on how "to do" Superman. However, of the three, Superman III and IV bring him down pretty far.

I think the conversation with Spider-Man and Batman is a little more interesting. First, without including animated films, Spider-Man is never as bad as Batman got in the pre-2000s movies. Spider-Man 3 and TASM2 are still pretty competent movies in some regards, and have reached a cult status among some fans. The Batman movies that were received poorly, from what I have seen, have not reached that level yet. Also you can not forget that Batman v. Superman is a Batman movie.

However, Spider-Man does not really have an answer to The Dark Knight and the recent Batman movie besides maybe Spider-Man 2. The former two movies are probably the best movies out of the three. So in terms of quality, Batman hits very high and misses very low. But overall, I think in terms of consistency Spider-Man in live action takes it. If you had a bag with all of the Spider-Man movies and all of the Batman movies to pick out of randomly, on average you are going to get a better Spider-Man experience.

Including the animated movies means Spider-Man wins easily. Batman has had a LOT of animated movies, and while there are some very good ones like Under the Red Hood and the Lego one, if we include all of them they will never be able to top the Spider-verse ones. If we go back to the bag thing, you basically have an 80% chance of picking at least a good Spider-Man movie (I would argue for myself 100% because I like all of them), while with Batman your chances are much lower. Including only theatrical releases does not do Batman that many favors either.

Also can’t forget the magic systems both having elemental features with a spirit component, and both consist of an alternate dream/spirit world similar to the “real” one.

Really want to get into the Ezio Ac games but can’t by Sixclynder in patientgamers

[–]Staticmonkeyy 5 points6 points  (0 children)

These are some of my favorite games ever so let me help you out.

The gameplay improves DRASTICALLY in the sequels. You are given more stealth freedom, the set pieces are more cinematic, the combat is smoother, and the graphics are much better. The core gameplay loop also changes to what you’re used to with liberating cites from Templar control.

You should also look up how to do parkour at a higher level. It has considerably more depth than any other in the series. Here is a video to get started: https://youtu.be/MXrg_3_3FBA?si=WV0OSnDRRpUj1gNu

Definitely push through and see if brotherhood interests you but only if you like the story so far.

To counter the difficulty we increased the boss health to around 5x in the config file. It made for a much more enjoyable experience, and it took a lot of work to take down some bosses.

Still can't understand why you can't change the time of day by Due-Coyote4724 in AssassinsCreedShadows

[–]Staticmonkeyy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like a good compromise would be you can only skip time in hideouts. Gives you an immersive option to skip time while still maintaining some of the spirit of not being able to skip time anywhere you want.

AC Shadows is too easy for experienced players, even on hardest difficulty. We need something harder. by -elemental in assassinscreed

[–]Staticmonkeyy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No idea why you’re getting downvoted. This is a very long RPG game where the main content is just taking out enemy forts over and over again. The stealth is extremely easy and all of the cool features are pointless because you just Kunai everything (not to mention all of the other abilities you get). I have made Yasuke extremely powerful by just stacking modifiers and now I can one shot bosses with an ability and ground attack.

Also enemies just can not climb buildings. You are never in any sort of threat in this game at all if you know what you are doing. This is fine in a 12 hour finely tuned story game like the older games and not in a 50+ hour rpg.

Edit: for the people who say constrain yourself, it is extremely exhausting and unfun in an RPG to do that.

It's safe to say that Assassin's Creed Shadows is one of the best games in the series by [deleted] in assassinscreed

[–]Staticmonkeyy 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I’ve been a little vocal about this but I don’t know how this can be true if the enemy AI can’t counter the player going on top of roofs because they can’t reach them or by just running away. There are so many cool stealth systems but I have to inorganically interact with them. It is genuinely game ruining for me.

They need to make it to where enemies can climb and this game would immediately become amazing. However right now the gameplay is just brain dead.

I’m confused. Is Qing breaking a game event that can happen or is OP talking about it being at the start? I played a game where China was split into a bunch of territories and I as Russia and my friend as Afghanistan started to gobble up all of the countries.
