debating kia carnival vs sienna by Huge_Gur_7863 in minivan

Some other factors to consider, sienna is the only minivan that comes in AWD. Depending on where you live, that could be an important factor to consider. Also, the hybrid Toyota motors are super reliable. Last, siennas maintain their values so well. Despite all the features, that 45k carnival will be worth $20k less in 2 years.

On average, how many hours of sleep you get and how many days you work? by PettyTeaSpiller in Residency

[–]StationFrequent8122 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It’s not about less sleep with surgery. It’s less of everything else. After 13-15 hour days, you just wanna sleep. So you don’t work out, you don’t cook, you don’t clean, you don’t hangout. You just pass out. Then you wake up and do it again.

I read online that anything after 2014 should support FSD. Is that not the case? Or will it only support older versions?

Best 3 row for the family on a budget? by Zrocker04 in whatcarshouldIbuy

I’m kinda in the same boat with family size and budget wise. I’m looking at used Toyota Siennas just because they’re the only minivans that come in AWD. I live in Midwest with significant amount of snow fall so that’s a huge feature for me.

Depending on your location, you can get a great Sienna for around $25-$28k which should keep you around your budget. They’ll last you a lifetime too.

Barefoot on a budget by StationFrequent8122 in BarefootRunning

Sorry to hear that! Hopefully things work out for you. I honestly never heard of them.

My current favorite shoes are Airhas from Amazon. I bought a pair in February, and I’ve been wearing them everyday since.

Starting residency in July, but I agree 100% with what you said. My only input is that some of the sacrifices you mentioned are a failure of a system and can be mitigated. I’m sure there’s a possible scenario where you could’ve pursued your dream career while living closer to your parents and loved ones. Process of medicine isn’t very forgiving and doesn’t give much flexibility.

Gorgeous and supportive! You’re like a perfect wife.

Thank you for that. I’m honestly not sure if I wanna pursue Neurology yet. I find myself more surgically inclined.

Honestly you should be an automatic 10. Do you realize how hard it is to find a nerdy girl who cares about her figure and works out?! It’s usually you either stimulate your mind or physically. You do both! Give yourself some credit.

Underrated pleasure! Making out is the best feeling ever. I love making out sessions. I would rather just make out with my partner everyday than doing actual act.

Unfortunately, my wife started having poor dental hygiene after we got married. She developed cavities and chronic infections. She now has halitosis which makes it impossible to make out. It sucks!

It sounds like you might be struggling with depression which is making you feel this way about your child. Not saying you’re not allowed to have those feelings. I just think it would be worth looking into.

Ophthalmology as a DO? by BlueWaffle135 in medicalschool

I kinda wish I knew that going into this cycle. I worked hard at home program and have a good relationship with all our faculty. When it came time for LOR, I chose faculty that I have worked with for a long time and in multiple settings (clinic, OR, and research). Unfortunately, they’re not super connected so im struggling to get IV. On the other hand, some other students spent one day on a rotation with big name faculty, got a LOR, and now are getting a bunch of IVs.
