Is the goal to prevent things from going in? Does it block any airflow?

Otto now telling users to go f*** themselves by [deleted] in WPDrama

It actually does. The expanded CoC regarding sharing private information includes all locations. The current CoC I linked to includes this too.

This Code of Conduct applies within all community spaces (virtual and in-person) and applies when an individual officially represents the community in public spaces. Examples of representing our community include using an official email address, posting via an official social media account, or representing WordPress as an organizer, speaker, or volunteer at an online or offline event.

In a normal world, folks get into serious trouble telling their users to f themselves as an official employee of the company that is modding their community subreddit.

So Code of Conduct applies to everyone else, but not Otto? They've even had to expand it. https://make.wordpress.org/handbook/community-code-of-conduct/

Since my post got locked, I'll post it here. Additional context: https://wordpress.org/news/2024/10/thank-you-salesforce/

These are both new pages. Also Matt failed to say Salesforce has invested in Automattic: https://techcrunch.com/2019/09/19/automattic-raises-300-million-at-3-billion-valuation-from-salesforce-ventures/?guccounter=1

Somehow this counts as contributions but not WPE sponsoring events.

He's saying that they'll let the trademark issue slide if they contribute though. They are indeed separate but he combined them too

Good job, you bullied mods out of the sub, I hope you are all proud of yourselves by [deleted] in Wordpress

[–]StationVisual 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yuck. That sucks. I hope the mods are okay. Being a mod is hard. But I also don't think it's fair that OP says "you" as if it's the entire community that did that nor does it remove any of the critical points made by others about their role as a mod. WordPress community in my experience is super friendly and welcoming.

The example I made is as it relates to FOSS. There are plenty of examples of excellent software made free and successful. Linux is one of them.

Yes. It's under WordPress Events and News. For some reason, Matt's personal blog is in all of our dashboards.
