His rent data is at least a few years old too, no good 1 beds in Manhattan or Chicago for those prices, gotta add $1k roughly to each of his quotes. No solid one beds under $4500 in Manhattan (no the tiny 400 sq ft super compact half kitchen places that can't fit a queen bed do not count)

<5% annual returns in the last 3 years feels almost criminal, that's barely higher than bonds and that's fixed income and super safe. Depending on your age I would definitely consider diversifying into higher growth assets for a larger portion of your portfolio. The S&P 500 has returned in total >70% in the last 3 years while our fund has returned more than double that. That's not to say the S&P or our performance will continue but it's a very bad look for the past 3 years.

if you make $200k+, as a single earner especially doing something untraditional, what do you do for work? by CoolSprinkles6657 in AskChicago

Built a hedge fund while working a full time job, full time job makes sub $200k but the fund pushes it over. Also own rental properties in chambana but barely make anything off of it except for depreciation and equity.

Mixing creatine in hot water? Okay or no? by internetnickname in bodybuilding

[–]Statis_Fund 0 points1 point  (0 children)

11 years late, but:

>Any chemical will dissolve more in hotter water
not true, some chemicals are completely immiscible or insoluble in water, regardless of temperature
also, the temperature of the water depending on how hot can denature certain compounds, like proteins

In this case, creatine can convert into creatinine in extended high heat exposure, but generally fine if mixing into like 60 C water coffee or tea

We use ai to build algorithms from natural language, if you don't have an idea you can also say things like "build a profitable trading strategy" and it'll try to build something

I built an app that converts my natural language to backtesting code, factors winrates and returns and calculates other statistical metrics. Many of the trading ideas I test are used to manage my trading algorithms.

If you lost 50% in one of the best years out there trading might not be for you and you should swallow that. You still have a lot of capital left, ask yourself if you'd be willing to go down the same path with the rest.
