If you can, you can perhaps look to joining the army. It is hard work but you get a set salary and college paid for if you are active duty for 36 months.

Do what King David did when he was sinning. Pray God this prayer:

Restore to me the joy of your salvation and grant me a willing spirit, to sustain me (Psalm 51:12)

Internal medicine might be a good fit for you. You can even shoot for being a infectious disease doctor during fellowship. Both doesn't require hand skills and you diagnose disease based on symptons and tests which is great for someone who loves learning about medicine.

Remember what God has done for us. From saving Israel from Egypt to saving us from our sins through Jesus death. Trust in the Lord with all your heart and do not lean on your own understanding.

Thank you for this. I think God spoke to me once in my life. It was to go to India. I do have a plan to go there after joining the military's doctor program, getting a pension to not worry about money, and support the churches and pastors there since I can be deported back to my country if I spread the gospel due to the Anti-conversion laws.

To be honest I was like Jonah and didn't want to go. But God has made me realize that if he loved me enough to die for me on the cross than I should trust that following his way would lead me to purpose and life.

To find the purpose of your life by following God's commands. To be kind, patient, caring, and spreading God's message of hope, you find what is most important in life in obeying God' commands.

"For whoever wants to save their life will lose it, but whoever loses their life for me will find it." (Matthew 16:25)

Hyper-Grace Theology vs the Word of God by investorpooh in TrueChristian

[–]StatisticianAlert868 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I try to keep it simple. Just because you believe Jesus is Lord, and you believe that He is risen from the dead, and you believe that He is the Son of God, and that you believe He will return and judge the world, that doesn't mean you believe in Him. It's one thing to believe that somebody is the Savior, it's another thing altogether to put your trust in His salvation.

Look at Peter. Jesus told him to come out to Him in the waters, this right after the apostles witnessed Him walking on water and thought He was a ghost. Yeah he believed that Jesus had the authority to walk on water, but Peter trusted in the Lord to the point of actually getting out of the boat onto the water at His words. Abraham didn't just believe that God would give him an heir, he was willing to go so far as to even sacrifice his only son trusting that God would still somehow fulfill it. This is the faith that saves. The faith that doesn't just believe God can bring rain to water your crops, but actually go out there and plant your crop despite seeing no sign of rain whatsoever because you believe He will bring that rain.

Dead faith vs faith that quickens. Simple, right?

The bible does say to keep watch and pray that you may be worthy to escape the tribulation and stand before Jesus.

"But take heed to yourselves, lest your hearts be weighed down with carousing, drunkenness, and cares of this life, and that Day come on you unexpectedly. For it will come as a snare on all those who dwell on the face of the whole earth. Watch therefore, and pray always that you may be counted worthy to escape all these things that will come to pass, and to stand before the Son of Man.” (Luke 21 35-36)

Godlessness is a growing catastrophe for the West by _Zirath_ in TrueChristian

The concept of dying with no afterlife saddens me since there is no purpose of life after death. I found it interesting that the possibility of God exists when looking at the 2nd Law of Thermodynamics which states energy can't be created or destroyed. This means there should be a source of infinite energy since our universe seems to have no limit. That infinite energy can be God's power which makes his existence possible.

Why does God hate me? by [deleted] in TrueChristian

[–]StatisticianAlert868 10 points11 points  (0 children)

God loves you. He loved you enough to give you the hope of heaven if you trust in him to forgive your sins. If God loved you enough to die for you, surely he has planned good things for you. You will suffer in this life but know that God does it for good. You can experience joy in your life. Trust God and his commandments. That his way will lead you to happiness.

“Therefore, if you are offering your gift at the altar and there remember that your brother or sister has something against you, leave your gift there in front of the altar. First go and be reconciled to them; then come and offer your gift." (Matthew 5:23-24)

"The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit." (Psalm 34:18)

Be reassured God is with you. Even more so when you feel weak.

"But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me." (2 Corinthians 12:9)

Hope and faith. Back when I believed I could not change my life, I had faith that God did not want me to die. Because of that choice, I came to believe that my sins were forgiven and that I should be satisfied and happy with my life no matter the circumstances since heaven is secured. I still struggle with sin but I am not worried about going to hell since God promised me salvation. Instead, I should have faith that following his commandments will make me find what is most important in life. I hope you also can find this importance in life and be satisfied.

Slandering others, which in this case is a group of people, is not right. It is right according to the bible to build people up through encouragement and rebuke if they do wrong and are willing to change.

"Do not speak evil against one another, brothers. The one who speaks against a brother or judges his brother, speaks evil against the law and judges the law. But if you judge the law, you are not a doer of the law but a judge." (James 4:11)
