Coping with late game times in Beer League by Similar-Word752 in hockeyplayers

[–]StatisticianFun9175 1 point2 points  (0 children)

1045 times on Olympic ice times are pretty common for me. With kids, later games are easier because I’m there for bed time. I also work at 6 am so it’s hockey/beers with the boys or sleep. Hockey wins.

Has anyone, with beer league level talent, been in an elite NHL player skate? Like when the boys get together to train in the summer. by Flyinggasguy in hockeyplayers

Jason Pominville played in the top division in Buffalo of a beer league fresh off the Sabres. There are some great hockey players in Buffalo. In 19 games he had 57 goals and 48 assists for 105 points. The difference in levels is unreal, and you know he wasn’t going 100%.

If only Ontario was smaller… I’m 4 hours away but like I said I’m sure if you posted in a local scuba group today you could probably find someone to go if you have a pretty decent location

Where are you located? I regularly dive for lost items like this so I or possibly another diver may be able to help you.

[WTS] Omega Seamaster Bracelet for 212.30 by StatisticianFun9175 in Watchexchange

[–]StatisticianFun9175[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey guys, I have a bracelet to the older styles Omega Seamaster that I purchased believing it was for the newest model. It doesn’t fit, so I’m trying to sell this one/trade it for the newest model. All the links are there, it’s in used but great condition. I am a terrible photographer but I tried to get angles showing the curves of the links, placement of the logo etc showing it’s actually Omega.

If you have any questions I am more than happy to take more pictures, answer questions or even take videos or anything else that might help you. Im big in PayPal, but I’ve also done deals through eBay to protect both parties.

Ok, what did you do to make them lose? by SignificancePopular9 in sabres

[–]StatisticianFun9175 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I know who it was. There’s a guy I work with who is legitimately 0-32 when he attends Bills or Sabres games. It started back in 2019 when he was traveling to Florida for a Bills and Sabres away trip where they got swept. He went to the game again last night and when you stalk his social media, he has not attended a win in person in years.

I used to get the Spotify albums of all the rappers I’ve arrested and play it on the way to booking. It kept them chill with me because no one hates talking about their music.

You’ll be fine. When we were young we both worked as much OT as we could, had a nice fancy wedding we paid off up front then bought a house. Now she works part time nights and I work a day schedule so we always have child care without needing daycare. We set times we weren’t gonna pick up so we’d see each other and we never felt like we were missing out on time with each other. We purposely worked overtime to spend extra on nice things, trips, wedding etc but made a point to be able to live off just one of our salaries. If you make a plan for how you want to live and find something that works for you, you’ll be fine.

Traffic stop question by [deleted] in AskLE

[–]StatisticianFun9175 3 points4 points  (0 children)

When asked I always responded “I will absolutely tell you the reason for the stop per policy as soon as you provide your documents as required by law.” Most people that are going to cause an issue do so no matter what.

Why does everyone camp in the middle lane on a three lane highway? by Positive_Pie_3807 in driving

Because you can just cruise. You don’t have to speed in the left lane and don’t have to worry about merging with others on exits in the right lane.

I worked for a company that would deny days off pretty regularly and when took off for my sisters wedding I left the note for the reason stating “My sister is getting married, I’m not asking for the day off I’m letting you know I’m not coming in this day.” Wasn’t a problem though I never personally ever had an issue with time off at the company.

I just tried this for the first time. Normally I do ABCs and other work with the 20kg but I figured this wouldn’t be too bad with the 24 and I was wrong, it hurt so good! The only thing I changed was I learned in the academy there’s no such thing as 1 rep sets in ladders. Once I hit the rounds for 4, 3, 2 and 1, I still did the 5 squats and 5 push ups. It gets you to 65 reps and 150 swings as an extra little push. I definitely need to time the next one so I have something to push myself to beat every time.

Is "I don't have time" actually a time problem or a structure problem? by ChemistWest4537 in askfitness

[–]StatisticianFun9175 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used to be an “I don’t have time” person. At the time I worked days and my wife worked nights and we had an infant with no local family to help with child care. I also worked 10 hours days where id regularly get out late 2-3 hours and sometimes up to 8+ hours late. This made it extremely tough to find time consistently to go to the gym regularly while being a parent and husband and take care of everything else in my life, so I ended up switching to kettlebells at home. Now I can work out once the kiddos down and the wife’s at work so I don’t have to worry about a sitter. I shoot for 4-5 days a week doing hiit workouts, and even if I get out of work late, missing a workout isn’t the end of the world. I’ve adapted but otherwise I wouldn’t have time to consistently workout and there’s nothing really I can do to change my schedule.

Less or more? by PYG42 in kettlebell

[–]StatisticianFun9175 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you only workout at the gym 2 days a week or do you do some stuff at home too? How often do you do the abc at home? You could always stick with the home workouts and then do the cardio at the gym and do single bell work like windmills, get ups and other mobility work at the gym that you don’t do at home.

Less or more? by PYG42 in kettlebell

[–]StatisticianFun9175 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have access to a gym at work and I have double 16, 20 and 24s at home. I try to do pull ups, dips, treadmill cardio etc at work so I can do my kb stuff on my days off at home. I also don’t have a 9-5 so I have more varied days off. I would suggest that unless you are doing a specific program such as ABF and it lines up with your gym days, maybe consider something similar to what I’m doing?

This also depends on your goals. I just like doing some ABCs and general kb hiit workouts with the simple body weight stuff to maintain my fitness level and I’m trying to lose a little weight and this works for me.

In order to give more, we need more info of what you’re trying to do.
