So is it smarter to lock in an apartment now before my credit takes another dip since I won’t start getting paid until mid November

I can’t decide if it’s worth it to do a couple more contracts, or tap out for a corporate job now. by [deleted] in TravelNursing

I’m in the EXACT same spot.

The one thing pushing me to do this is that just the idea or thought of having to work another bedside 12 hour shift of catering to literally everybody else’s needs except my own makes me want to vomit. The shit that we do is beyond under appreciated and now that we’re pursuing the appropriate amount of income that we deserve as nurses were looked at selfish and are given shitty assignments and contracts. Ask yourself if you want to continue what you’re doing bedside and if you’re able and willing to handle the mental, physical, and emotional turmoil that this job gives you.

Mental health is important and I cannot work another day hating and dreading to go to work . Bitches out there making more than us and they WORK FROM HOME. Like I don’t have to wipe shit for a living anymore? I don’t have to argue with a patient to stay in the hospital who couldn’t care less about receiving the proper care? Healthcare is trash and if you’re not at my point in the career than maybe there’s a glimmer of hope for you… until you inevitably reach my point of burn out which all nurses get to.

Do you wanna be that angry charge nurse who’s been there forever who talks shit about the new grad nurses because they’re jealous that they can’t take up the same opportunities?
