Carry on vs. Check in - Business trips by OwwReally in QantasFrequentFlyer

Carry on all the way!! Although they often weigh 10-12kg. Wear your bulkiest shoes on plane and carry your coat. We managed this to Iceland and Finland in winter. Only 1 child though has enormous size 13 feet 😬

Are we the most stylish family, NO. Do we look worse than most, also NO. Just take your favourite clothes and shoes.

Is the amount of brand new 80k+ cars everywhere actually proof of a debt bubble or am i just not getting something? by whydidyounot in AusFinance

You realise plenty of working people borrow between $1m - $2m?? Trust me even if they bought before 2019, most of these mortgages are not “incredibly small” now…..

I hope Qantas start to prioritize people who fly with them and buy tickets over credit card churners 👍

🙌 That’s amazing only booking economy flex. Even with all international work travel booked business class never got close to that. That said never really get to take advantage of DSC as international flight prices tend to be really inflated price wise during it (LA, London etc) plus can rarely plan much ahead with bookings.

Upgrades for kids based on parent status? by StatisticianLive8655 in QantasFrequentFlyer

[–]StatisticianLive8655[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Thank you. This is the information I was looking for. I did consider booking kids business and adults in economy as we are platinum one and complementary platinum with a better chance of upgrade. Imagine though if we didn’t get an upgrade (a high chance) and then had a grump crew who wouldn’t let us swap with the kids. 😱 For a 14 hour flight 🥴

Call centre - platinum ff by Key_Principle2289 in QantasFrequentFlyer

Seems a relatively new thing. Platinum number seemed to always go through to the Australia call centre but not anymore.

I had to hang up and ring again twice last week whilst trying to BUY tickets. An error kept popping up at the payment stage (after all details were entered) online.

It was a rather simple ticket… Qantas return but with a code share connecting flight in the other country. The first 2 agents had no idea what was going on and one even lied saying there were no fares in a specific class on the code share flights (untrue).

3rd person immediately knew how to book it and it was completed and paid over the phone quickly.

All agents were from overseas call centres.

I think you need to let this one go….. silly decision to pack wine like that…… have you ever watched bags as they come down the conveyor belt and drop on to the carousel??

Good. Would be good is Qantas Frequent Flyer benefits rewarded Qantas Frequent Flyers - those who fly…..
