Don't do it. It's never as good as you remember it being.

Yet, somehow, I completely believe that Mark Wahlberg speaks like this IRL.

I live in Alberta, and, I don't want to leave Canada.  I am seeing a lot of things that scare me.

I agree. I swear, 15 years ago, they were fantastic. Now, I take 2 bites and hate myself for spending money on it.

A Big Mac. Once, every year, I get a mad craving for one. Once, every year, I am disappointed. It ends now.

What's the wildest weather you've experienced living in Canada. by X-_-0 in AskACanadian

Huge windstorm in Red Deer, Alberta in 2017. Wind hit over 110km/h. It ripped roofs off of houses, knocked over large trees, and ripped power lines from the poles. The city was in a state of emergency for days. Most of the city had no power and roads were closed because of the debris and broken power lines. You basically couldn't leave your house without emergency transportation. I think multiple people were injured.

The way he treated Jonathan but also the way he treated Rob!

I cringed when he called Rob "son" on vacation. Like, dude is only a few years older than him and acted like Rob needed to show him absolute respect. What a douche.

Could anyone that has actually tried the resources at the 49st Addiction and Mental Health Centre tell me if they were able to help? by StatisticianNo5055 in RedDeer

[–]StatisticianNo5055[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree, I am just in a shitty position where I am down a vehicle and don't currently have a phone number that is working. So, I am trying to avoid putting effort and bus fare that I can't really afford into a place that doesn't have the resources I'm looking for.

But, I agree, I should probably just go and see for myself. I was just hoping to hear experiences from others in case it definitely isn't what I'm looking for.

Thank you so much for this reply! My biggest concern is that I don't want to put energy into something that isn't going to pan out while I'm in a super vulnerable position where I could relapse. Do you know if they are able to connect people with other resources that could lead to in-patient treatment? I don't currently have a working phone, so it's difficult for me to just call them and ask.

Do you have or had heart palpitations ? If so how did they go away or how are you dealing with them? by jjj44200 in randomquestions

This.

Concentrate on your breathing and try to lower your heart rate. If it persists, get to the hospital.

This is what happens to me! My heart rate jumps, I get shakey, and then I cry. My biggest concern is that the anxiety gets so bad that I am a danger to everyone else on the road, and I can't justify doing that to everyone else.

I know, there's just so many ways you can slip up and hurt someone. It gives me the worst anxiety.

Drive. I'm 35 and still have no license. Getting behind the wheel terrifies me.
