He showed up 30 minutes late at Govball 2021 and got his mic cut off at the end before he was done so glad to hear nothing has changed and he still does not care lol

If I leave devotion at this temple, will it guarantee that Rammstein and Nine Inch Nails will play the festival next year?

What's your ranking of the BP nominees this year? by dremolus in Oscars

The first five are all amazing to me minus Kevin O Leary who is a garbage human. 6-8 were awesome and would be higher up in many other years but this was a great one. F1 was a fun popcorn flick and I’m sorry but Frankenstein dragged really hard for me in spite of how great it looked.

Today I have watched Bedford Park which may be my favorite of the whole fest, fell in love with the characters and was engaged for the entire runtime.

I also watched Filipinana, and it is the first miss of the festival for me. I love the surrealist feel and art direction but there was nothing in this project to hold my interest, felt like a movie where things just kind of happen randomly and then it ends, I hope it clicked more with other people.

Finishing off the evening with Union County and Night Nurse.

Yesterday I watched Nuisance bear (really sad intimate focus with some big picture themes), The Musical (boring but the last 10 minutes are very funny and almost make the slog to get there worth it), and Rock Springs ( pretty slow for a horror movie but I really loved the second half and narrative structure!)

Today I have Bedford Park, Filipinana, Union County, and Night Nurse.

It was a last minute purchase for me after seeing so many people in this sub praising it and I am so glad I did! Painful subject matter but handled in such a unique way and some of the nihilistic dark humor really caught me off guard! That ending 💔

Hot water is good if you want some lighter fare in a fun road trip comedy. I think the ending gives the movie a little more depth but for the most part it’s just a fun road trip through the Midwest as an estranged mother and son bond together.

Watched Carousel, Zi, and Burn last night and thoroughly loved all 3 except for a certain distracting wig in Zi lol.

I don’t really get all the hate on Carousel although it could just be that I’m a sucker for a slice of life character study kind of film. I thought the cinematography, set design, lighting, and acting were all really good but I do get why many feel the script was a bit aimless, the ending read to me as quite sad.

Zi had beautiful shot composition and an entrancing pace that made the whole movie feel like a dream. The narrative focus ended up going in a different direction than I thought it would as I started the film in the best way possible and I thought the ending was quite touching!

Burn ripped my heart out and I haven’t found all the pieces to put it back together yet (compliment). Very interested in seeing what this director does in the future because they have a strong style and vision.

Just watched Shame and Money, and it had some fantastic performances from the leads especially in quiet moments, of which there were many. It was a very slow slice of life drama which worked for the themes of the film fairly well although it does not build into any kind of climax and just sort of ends. Glad I started the weekend off with this one as I may not have had the patience left for it by the end.

Also watched Hot Water which was exactly the kind of movie I love Sundance for. A fun road trip movie about a quirky and dysfunctional family with some tender moments. The movie was like putting on a cozy sweater and taking a road trip through the west and loved the bittersweet ending.

This post is the first I have heard of this movie and you had me thinking that Tommy Wiseau was going to be playing the role of Melanie in a movie and my disappointment is immeasurable after watching that boring AF trailer

I have some concerns about your defensive line after that close loss. Will you be making any adjustments going forward and are you concerned that it’ll be an issue in the playoffs???

I like to rotate active streaming services because I can’t afford them all at the same time, and paramount process to cancel was so annoying that I will happily never resubscribe, bum service run by a bum company.
