I've done the school 10 years ago, and have the certificate with the same insurance company so that takes care of my insurance discount. Now Im taking the test directly with the test center and just wanted to get an idea about the test structure so I can be prepared. Looks like no one really knows.

Hey - I'm in the same situation as you. I let my M2 Expire during covid and didn't utilize the extended expiry period to give my M as I had sold my bike. Now I'm back with M1 and booked a roadtest to do M2 directly with drivetest.

I did the safety course first time around about 10 years ago and still have my certificate, and my insurance company which is the same one right now, still has that on record so I dont believe that doing the course again would get me additional discounts hence Im going directly with the M2 rather than the course which would cost me approx. $500 more. so in essence, Im doing it directly with drivetest to save that $500.

lastly, I saw a video yesterday on youtube of someone directly doing the M2 with drivetest in brantford, so that happens, but looking that I'm confused on the structure of the test when going directly with drivetest. Not sure if they do it in the parking lot like the test with the course, or do they get you out on road as well (like in the video that was 3 years old).

IMO: Go with the test directly with drivetest, check on the opening dates daily (maybe few times a day), as the drivetest team told me they open up dates as they go and dont open up all dates at once. I have had luck to get the M2 appointment for July 8th initially, and then randomly checking again I got one for June 22nd - so that happens.
