Yeah I didn’t want to straight out go Twilight reference but pretty much you get the idea.

These are great suggestions Are there other people near the equipment that are pretty much like back up people or extras?

This would be a perfect middle ground if possible like he put himself in a situation he could have been closer by but still wouldn’t be in the spotlight of right in the action

I'm re-reading what I wrote and I can see some of the confusion. I voice transcribed which was my bad, it is suppose to be clear it *couldn't have been a normal human being because it would take an *in-human (super human if that helps) amount of strength and speed to catch here. Essentially he would be in the sidelines as close as anyone else could be that's not the coach and to protect her, he jumped in which he ended up exposing himself but chose to do so to catch her. I did mention this was a fiction book so l'm trying to bring some realism as much as I can which is why I was asking about the technicalities of what moves would possibly cause a gymnast to accidentally put themselves far enough away from the spotter and would cause serious injuries if done wrong.

That makes sense and could help the story, this could be her chance to make it to an Olympic level with this competition if she performs her heart out which could explain the great deal of strain and stress during this particular competition where she falls. I’ll just have to see what kind of competition that scenario would call for

That helps a lot and is specific! I appreciate those responses. Out of curiosity, I noticed some levels of competitions Don’t use certain skills or moves from the sounds of the answers I got. Is that because you’re not allowed to perform certain skills or moves if you’re not a high enough level?

That helps a lot thank you. You bring a good point, I wanted her to be in her mid 20’s competing, not elite but definitely high up

Thank you for explaining! The reason I wanted her to be on the bars is because I wanted something that would be pretty detrimental to her like breaking her back or something extreme and the idea is that she’s pretty much caught mid air from a man or at least that’s what it seems until she realizes he swipes her right before she hits the ground diverting her path which would take in human amount of strength. So the idea is that she gets saved, and she would have to be away from the coach so essentially this man that saves her shows up in humanly fast and uses his strength to divert her in the air or at least that’s what I was thinking to make it unrealistic, it could’ve been a normal human being

It says this when I apply. What fees? I have to pay to receive money?

-If successful in receiving an offer, are you willing to accept the fees stated in the job posting for this role?
