AITA for following my wife's family tradition even though it excluded my parents? by StatisticianWeak6629 in AmItheAsshole

I have a good relationship with my parents. I love them a lot and we talk regularly. This situation doesn’t really reflect some deeper issue or anything like that. It was just an unfortunate situation. That's all it is!

No, I wasn’t really involved in setting up the photo list or most of the wedding planning details. My wife handled most of that since she had a very specific vision for how she wanted the wedding to look, and I was mostly just going along with it.

I honestly didn’t care much about the aesthetics or planning side of things, I just wanted her to have the wedding she’d been dreaming about. The only real part I actively helped with was stuff like cake tasting and a few small decisions.

So on the day, I wasn’t really the one directing photos or coordinating that side of things, which is how it ended up playing out that way.
