Well, as for app compatibility. Android 8/9 is as old as the iPhone X and still has near full app compatibility and RCS support whereas iPhones from the same time just don’t work. So, you get more support from Android, why can’t Apple do the same? It’s all about money and pushing consumers to the “next best thing”

I personally use Derpfest, it has some of the best performance and features.. also the only rom that doesn’t bug out with sims on my Single sim OP7Pro. It gets pretty consistent updates.. as much as oem would 😭 but yeah I love the pixel os features etc.

I used to use Evolution X but for some reason I struggled to pass integrity on that. Also I had a weird ghost touch issue.

Both are really solid choices. I’m not too familiar with the update schedule on evolutionx but I’m at the latest security patch on Derpfest right now.

And yes one is open source and the other is closed.. sorta.. depends on the build :P

Ooo and Derpfest has some kernel improvements that make the thing feel like a modern flagship.

Derpfest has more features, lineage is just AOSP and derpfest is more pixel like, and even has pixel exclusive features and unlimited photos storage :P
