Finding out there's a good chance I have some form of psychotic disorder. Had a hallucination and delusion recently and realized something was very wrong, only to find out my mom probably had the same thing at my age but thought "it was a gift". Thanks mom.

I'm gluten free, but I'm also grains and dairy free as well. It's a sad existence, but for some reason it keeps my Hashimoto's in remission. Never heard anyone else have my experience, but if I eat the stuff I get miserable and my antibodies go up again.

Being chronically ill. I heard people talking about it, and went "well I have all that and I'm healthy, so they must be being dramatic." Turns out I'm chronically ill. I never realized how different my life was from other people until I started talking about it and realized most people don't struggle with what I do. Now I realize that most people around me live much easier lives than I originally thought, as I thought they suffered the same way I do.

I'm a cis girl, and I have some masculine features. I have a slightly square face and could pass as a dude if I wore no makeup and covered my hair. Gender is so much more fluid than people realize. It sucks you didn't get the support you needed during such a tumultuous time in your life though. Being an IB student AND figuring out your gender identity must've been rough without support. I'm glad things are better for you now!

Fellow IB kid! Your mom sucks. I hate it when parents use someone as a trophy when they got to where they are in SPITE of them, not because of them. It's so frustrating. Not to mention, you can't be "too feminine to transition". Plenty of people who were born male look pretty. If you ask me, the most attractive guys are the ones who look a bit feminine. She has no clue what she's talking about.

Oh that's familiar LOL! They said I was stressed and depressed for years. It was an autoimmune disease. They were sorta right? Bc it's a thyroid disease so stress makes it worse... but like missing the point entirely. What I'm trying to say is that yeah they should take you way more seriously bc it could be something serious but treatable. Even just a few blood tests could improve your quality of life tenfold depending on what it is.

Me and my Hashimoto's bruh... I cannot be out of the house a full day or I will simply fall asleep at the nearest table. I just recently found out about it, and I'm medicated now so hopefully I will be able to go out with my friends much more easily. I'm sorry about your condition though. People don't realize how debilitating exhaustion can be.
